The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

Does that ending include a splashdown?
Yes Neuski it does....to make it even better, it will be a dueling ride with the ride built next to it....the annual prostate exam ride.....

Hopefully this will give Paula a chuckle...being this is all 'tongue in cheek' humor....

Sorry....no pun intended....

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
I do hope that everyone knows that I am just playing around here and mean no disrespect whatsoever.

I have already started making travel plans for next season to head to the great state of Indiana...regardless of the time zone that it's in.

Yesterday when I identifed those new pics as woodie braces, I had not noticed that the title of the blog entry was, "Brace yourself!" Paula sure loves her puns. ;)

Yes Paula sure does seems to love puns.

Back to the topic. The items in the the sauce barrel do indeed look to me like posts that one would connect steel I-beams to concrete with. I am not so sure whatever this is will be wood framed. I am not saying it wont either. But it does look plausible that it could be steel i-beam supported.

I'd be *really* surprised if HW built a steel-supported woodie...some steel BRACING to go around/about pre-existing rides might be unavoidable, but it seems like it's important to HW to keep with the *woodsy* feel of the place....and I commend them! :)
No matter what, some of you will be surprised while others will probably add to their CB signature: I was right! Nyaa-nyaa!

Some of you know us so well. Others? Well, you're learning...

Whatever do you MEAN, Paula...

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I wont be surprised with anything Holiday World does! Chances are it will be very classy no matter what it is. Even if it is just another bathroom. ;)

Rollergator, You did point out an interesting point that I neglected to think about.

The one thing I've learned is that no matter what is coming for the 2006 season, it will only add to the current atmosphere...an atmosphere that brings people back year after year.

I mean, how many parks can ban smoking except in specific areas and have the smokers happy, and the non-smokers wishing they had such a nice place to hang out??

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

I've got the answer!

2002 - Legend receives transfer track, goes to 2-train operation.

2005 - Raven receives transfer track, goes to 2-train operation.

2006 - Howler to receive transfer track and second train!!!

It was right in front of our eyes...we just needed to look at the trend ;)

Moosh, accroding to *the trend*, Howler will go to 2-train ops in '08...:)
Moosh, Your a brilliant!

Why couldn't I figure it out?

Chuck, who hates long waits for the Howler!

Ah, it's all starting to come together for me now. My wife noticed that April 15, 2006 (aka Tax Day) is on a Saturday. Easter is the next day, April 16, 2006. So... Easter and Tax Day are almost (but not quite) the same day for 2006.

Our guess is that Paula has already told us the list of new rides for the Easter (or Tax Day) land. Or, at least what types of new rides. Looks like a carousel, dark ride, and a coaster.

No matter what Holiday World does, I'm sure that it will rock! I can't believe I'm this excited about 2006 before the park even opens for 2005.

Why don't we all travel to Indiana, sneak up on Paula, and tickle her like MAD until she gives up the info!

Kevin

I'm in!Besides I've always wanted to give Paula a good tickle! ((man I think I said too much already!)) ;)

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!

Now Paula, don't think you can milk this thing until January and hide construction from us.

My husband is a dairy farmer...so I've learned from the best!

Oh, no ... here come the udderly silly dairy puns! Moosh'll squeeze them out one by one and run them past-your-eyes (get it?).

Get ready for the stampede! Paula

Are you gonna pull a Hershey Park on Us, A storm runner type coaster would be flippin sweet. Hi Paula.
Sorry for the double post. What ever you do, I trust your a Great PR director and besides, do you know any other park that offers free drinks all day? Keep up the good work Paula and the rest of Holiday World. (Koch's)
Lake Compounce has free drinks, but Holiday World wast the first. ;)
LC can't offer free drinks...HW has the patent on that...seriously...I've seen it.

Edit: Wups, it looks like I was mistaken. That copyright expired on May 18, 2004. *** Edited 5/4/2005 2:21:55 AM UTC by RavenTTD***
