+1 for trying something new and the desire to improve. But I am going to have a hard time getting used to it. I think it was just fine the way it was - why try to fix something that's not broken.
Darn, I was waiting for the loving appreciative response that I am normally used to getting from you, Jeff.
NOT.
(And actually "Dude," I don't mind the timeline ;) )
No posting box until I hit the button, then it magically appears. I have my account set for plain text posting, though, that might have something to do with it. So far everything I have tried on the iPad works great; the only issue is that left margin.

Ah, there we go. Plain text and I can post. Billy, why must you dislike change so much? :)
I don't dislike the changes "so much," Josh, I just kinda liked the way it was. It's was comfortable. Just wondering why change it?
Since I hang out on here, I was simply giving my opinion. It's not a HUGE issue with me, or anything like that.
Most of what's different is behind the scenes, but that said, the old site looked like it was launched in 2008, and I was tired of it.

I think it could just be me, but it seems the last post I made showed up twice. I went to delete one of them and they both disappeared. Oh well.
And Billy, I know it was comfortable, but sometimes things change and modernize to stay with the times. I know you're a huge fan of leaving everything the way it is/was in the good ol' days, but there's nothing wrong with an update. No need to take offense, that's just the way you are.
I guess it's a good thing Billy wasn't around back in the day. He would have had to endure a lot of change over the years.

The hyperlink button is throwing a 404 error, by the way. And the full URL isn't showing as a link when I paste it, as evidenced above.
I hate Facebook's Timeline. I just don't like the way it flows, and how I have to look at a line to see what order I need to read posts. It just looks like clutter on my screen. Thank God I don't have it yet. When it's forced on me, I will only complain a little, because they have really taken their time with getting me used to the fact that I WILL have it.
Jeff should create the next Facebook. I have no doubt that it would be awesome!

I've Been around these forums for a long time now, and this is by far one of my favorite updates, to be honest. It's super fast.
I've often thought about building a social network, but mostly a totally private one, where you can't join unless someone invites you.
Thanks for the bug spots, Vater. That's a weird URL to parse and it gets confused seeing "http" in there twice. I'll add that to the (ever growing) list.

I like how it combines some of the old coasterbuzz site from previous years (seeing forum topics and on this day features) with some of the new tech all on the front page. I like being able to see some great information or topics without having to click through things to see them.
This update loads instantly now...AWESOME.
Things don't quite line up yet, to look neat headers on top, and the lines below (news, forums, etc). I use Google Chrome. I don't know how much that effects it yet.
Overall this is one of the best updates to the site. Nice job.

Can you be more specific about what doesn't "line up?" I use Chrome too, and I'm not seeing any particular issues beyond scrolling to a new post (the navigation covers it... working on that).

I enjoy the new look, though I wish it was white text on black background; it'd be a lot easier on the eyes.
Or an option to switch the colours?
It has always been black text on white. There is zero chance of it ever going the other way. Sorry.

I keep seeing some strange intermittent behavior. Like just now: I refreshed the Recent topics view and saw the blue icon indicating new posts in the "Bacon" topic (in the private club forum for you non-club members who are wondering where this mystery topic is (only $25 a year to join!) ;) ). The info shows that johnnytips made the last post, yet when I enter the thread the last post I see is from Neuski.
I'm guessing either johnnytips deleted his post and it isn't showing correctly in the Recent topic view, or something isn't updating properly when I enter the thread.
Also, will the graphic smileys return?
