Two quick things...
When I receive the CB newsletter, the sender is 'Roller Coaster Forums' - is that right?
Also, the news snippets under the headlines on the front page don't render HTML, for instance:
Writer travels across "America's Coaster Belt"
LA Times writer Brady MacDonald traverses amusement parks across the Midwest and Northeast to ride 70 roller coasters with his family.
Hope that helps =)
Nothing to see here. Move along.
I also noticed that the emails now come from "Roller Coaster Forums" instead of CoasterBuzz. I also receive two of each email. Not sure if that's site wide, or if it's just me.
Hi
That you receive two of the e-mail is troubling. That shouldn't happen.

I only get one e-mail. Maybe you get two as a perk for being a member? lol
Okay, I lol'ed, but maybe that is seriously the reason, by mistake, of course.

Only got one of the most recent newsletter.
This may have been covered before, but I can't post on my Android. I can read everything and click through, but can't enter text in the reply box. Is there something I'm missing there?
I'd hate for the community to miss out on my tremendous wit and snarkiness just because I'm away from the computer.
Hi
You have to log in. Then, in account options somewhere you have to choose the option force plain text, and then save it. I have android devices and had to do the same thing.
Yep, that worked. Thanks.
Now, will this also force plain text on my desktop, or are the settings only for the device that you save them on?
Hi
Yeah, you'll have to revert to the rich text box on your desktop, if you want that. For some reason, Android (or some flavors of it... damn you fragmentation!) don't identify themselves right, so the forum doesn't know it's a mobile device and it should use the plain text.
Of course, wouldn't it be neat if there were a mobile version of the site? ;)

I don't want to clutter up my comprooder with the Android SDK (it has an emulator), so if you don't mind, can you make sure that you don't have the force plain text box checked and saved, then try it with your Android phone and on the desktop. It should appear as a plain text box on the phone. In theory. :)

I unchecked the force plain text, navigated off the site, then brought it up on my phone.
When I clicked Submit Reply, I see the "Title: Re: The New Coasterbuzz" line, then there's a big blank space with nothing at all... unclickable, then I see the Include Signature/submit reply boxes.
Android version 2.2.2
Hi
Huh. Well, I'm not sure what I can do about that. It seems as though your phone is lying about its identity.

I have been praying to my God ever since last Christmas for an iPhone/iPod/iPad version of CoasterBuzz, and God has not answered my prayers...yet. :(

I just came up with an idea that I would like to suggest for the future of this new version. Similar to Facebook, it would be awesome to see in the upper bar when one of your posts gets a "Vote up". It would be cool to see who likes my previous comments, and even cooler to know that others see that I like theirs.
I don't know how easy or difficult this feature would be to add. Of course, Coasterbuzz is really great as it is, and I appreciate the site more than I could ever say.
Edit - I just realized that this information is in my profile. Now all I ask is for a little box to appear next to the profile link at the top bar, but really, that's just a little detail that is easy for me to get over. I'm off to read my likes. Won't you all do the same? :)
