The Gravity Group & Holiday World

I also wanted to added that CP is still a very good park and one of the best large parks out there. I like it a little better than PKI. But Holiday World is still much better because they try much harder to give people their money's worth. You'd think with the MASSIVE crowds that CP gets that if they'd lower their prices to HW's level and give you free parking, pop, and suncreen that they would still make plenty of money from the extreme volumes of people to pay for the upkeep and maintenence and costs of the big new rides. If I have to wait an hour for MF on a weekday in August during the week before Labor Day when most kids are in school and the SF parks are closed than CP has to be making a killing. How can CP not make money with high food, ticket and parking prices if they still pull in HUGE crowds?

-----------------

Paula I don't expect HW to build a drop ride next year since you have stated before that it would be a family ride nor do I expect the park to build one anytime soon. I just wanted to know what you'd think the type of clientel your park have would respond to such an attraction since they responded well to your wild world class CCI woodies.

-----------------

PFF, I don't think a drop ride would fit what we're all about. The wooden coasters fit because they're old-fashioned and blend in well with the forested hillside. We've never even talked about adding a drop ride, so I can't say for sure that there's no chance of us ever getting one. But I would think the fact that we've never discussed it should be telling enough.

Thanks, Paula

I like your old fashioned attitude and having that traditional feel. I have no problem with not adding a drop ride besides even though I love drop rides I still love wooden airtime machines (wood coasters) better. I have heard a rumor that Mack may still have blueprints for a classic wooden flying turns since they built one in 1951. It might fit in the Chirstmas section if there is room themed to a bobsled ride. But I don't know how wild they are. Anyway I know a coaster isn't planned for next year but it's an idea you may want to look at 2-3 years down the road if the crowds keep growing. Also at that rate maybe a second train could be looked at as a possibility for Raven like with Legend if the lines keep growing.

-----------------

Of course tha main point I am trying to make now would be for capacity that is why I made some of these ride suggestions but unique ride are probably what you'd want anyway and not to mention that world class woodies will bring people in plus the world class waterpark. It all depends on what you'd think your park guests would like not just us coaster nuts. But it's nice to know that your park cares about ACE members too.

-----------------

Like many people have said Raven doesn't need a second train. The max wait is about 30 minutes.

Arrow, even the straight parts of our coasters hurt.
