The BEST Log Ride Around!

One that no one has mentioned that I think is great is Daredevil Falls at Dollywood. Excellent theming and an all-around enjoyable ride. The only drawback is that its a little too short both in length and theming.

I also really enjoyed the now defunct log ride at Opryland. The lift was first thing and then you got to wind around near the tree tops for a while before the drop.

Splash Mountain at WDW is still the best. (Haven't been to IOA yet, but one day....)

And everyone forgot about Journey To Atlantis at Sea World Orlando.

Sure, Rip Saw Falls is great because of the tunnel going down the big hill, looks like your head is gonna get chopped off.

JTA gives you an indoor story with water spashing over your head as Elise "shows you the way", then a scary monster that falls on the boat as you go up the first hill. Then the huge drop, then a drop into a moat soaking the people in the front seat, then a Roller Coaster Ride with a 2nd splash down. And it's a fast roller coaster ride, you dive to the left, then to the right, then the splash down, and you're hauling butt at this point.

JTA is #1 to me.

I like the one at ioa
Wait wait wait, whoever said that ohio is cold needs to come visit during the summer months....just as hot as SoCal. It hits above 90 frequently during the summer. We can definitely do water rides....thats not the problem.

Dudley do right's has a huge splash and a great theme. Its pretty amazing

The LONGEST flume thread EVER!

Not the longest, but pretty close to the oldest ressurected one that's for sure.

I resurected a forum by accedent

Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls hands down. Americana park used to have a good flume, but alas that park no longer exists. Does Camden Park still have their flume? that was a good wet one as well.

Camden Park's log flume is still there. It is probably the reason I love log flumes so much today. It is not really a great ride anymore though, in my opinion. The ride path used to be surrounded by really tall grass, but that was cut down many years ago because of snakes. It is now just a log flume in a large, well mowed yard. It could be a lot better with just a little bit of themeing.

Last I was there, a few years ago, the park only had two or three logs to run on the ride as well, making for a pretty long line. The ride need some work.

...

Although a fairly short ride, I really like the log flume at Dollywood. It is unique and nicely themed.

About the zombie thread, it's no big deal, Tyler. It's fun to see an old thread sometimes, and we can just continue the conversation.

Yeah, I commeted on this post because I was searching on google what the best log flumes were. I found a coasterbuzz forum and I posted without checking the date. I don't why anyone stopped posting on it for 12 years, its a great topic.

My last post on here, may have been 12 years ago. It takes alot to get me to respond I guess. ;-)
I would have to go with the log flume at Cosmo World, Yokohama, Japan. It is the only log flume I've ever been on that has airtime.

You have never been to Island of Adventure, Coasterphan? Dudly Do-Rights Rip Saw Falls has amazing airtime. That last drop feels so out-of-control, it just crazy.

I flew my helicopter to Japan just the other day, but it was just to pick up some noodles at the grocery store. I missed out on riding that log flume. HA!

Lost kause is right, dudley do right actually has so much air time that it hurts your butt when you hit your seat after you fly up so high!
