The 2015 announcement season has officially begun...

If it's one of those barely acceptable Larson scooters, this fan won't be all that excited.

Will never forgive them for taking out the original Eagles. I grew up on that ride.

We've got your scooters. I laugh as I walk by but never ride :-D.

Nagashima Spa Land in Japan has announced a B&M flyer with a pretzel loop, a corkscrew, and two inline twists. According to RCDB, it will be the second tallest, and third fastest flyer.

EDIT: Having done a bit more research right after I posted this, I discovered that it is going to be close to a Manta clone, with the height and speed only slightly different.

The Larsons at KBF just make me sad. The Last ride of the Season at Kings Island was always the Eagles. We just assumed that one winter they'd get rid of it, the result of some insurance issue with the workers and the free swinging tubs, or new mgt who didn't appreciate the slow load cycle. Or worse, some parent complaining (the startled Moms walking by when a group of us were seriously snapping was enough entertainment for one day).

I never expected them to move them to Carowinds. And now possibly reintroduce the ride, but with the Larsons. Sob.

Canada's Wonderland announced a waterpark expansion. They're building a ProSlide Tornado 12 and a wet and wild interactive children's play area. I tried to find a good video of a Tornado 12, but there weren't any as far as I could see. Mister Twister at Darien Lake is an example of one. It is essentially a normal water slide with a few mini funnels on the way down.

Carowinds Track:

Does the color clue us in to what the name or theme may be? Does it match any current rumors, for those who have been paying attention (not me)?

I did a little flash research and found the leaked logos. If we are not being screwed with, and we probably are, it looks like the color of the track matches the Fury logo a little more than the Centurion logo. ...Kind of.

Ah! So we are still doing decoy sites. Cool!

That Carowind's track has similar track-to-spine spacing as the beefed up track on Leviathan.

AKA it's a giga. Probably.

I don't think there's any "probably" to it any more...we know what we're getting now, we just don't know what to call it.

The plans have been on Screamscape for a while now. It's definitely big, and resembles Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland. I do wonder what kind of seating it will have though.

I am extremely excited about this ride. I haven't been able to find the energy or time to get a passport and drive the seven or nine hours or so to ride Leviathan. It looks amazing! It's great that I will get to ride a similar ride next year with my Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and only a five hour drive! That and Holiday World's new ride will be top priority next year.

edit - I just want to add that I am sorry about the negative-sounding sentence about not finding time or energy to get to Canada.

I dunno... Looking at that track and comparing to parts of Leviathan, that track looks closer to Gatekeeper's track approaching the lift. There is a catwalk on both sides of the train leading to the lift and that style of track looks very similar to it.

I'm only speculating and I rarely ever do anymore. This would be pretty epic if this build up had been accompanied with a decoy blueprint that was leaked. I don't like to speculate based on park clues because we've pretty much been told in the past that they won't tell us, the clues are pretty much useless.

LOL Travis, but you don't start stuff...

Anyways, the Fury logo is the deal.
