Tatsu specifications released

When's the ETA? Will it be done in time for Solace Weekend?

Wow... what an investment!

Impressive! One can only hope they can also maintain all these multimilliondollar coasters they have in order to keep them safe + enjoyable.

Where did they get all the money from?

Selling Astroworld?

Yeah, I agree the park needs to focus it's attention elsewhere, like customer service, rides at capacity, etc. But you can damn well bet I'll be visiting after this opens. If it's all that and a bag of chips, I'll get a season pass and spend quite some time there.

They Live. We Sleep.

Well, according to the website they're doing their PlayPass thing again, so the cost of a day's admission is basically a season pass.

This IS the kinda of flyer I have been waiting for ...a flyer with some flying!!!! Looks great it might even be the ride that brings me back to MM. I love the layout, colors, the non- Six Flags brand name, the placment nice...Do I SMELL park improvment... *** Edited 11/17/2005 5:23:36 PM UTC by THE IGMAN***

Its not the size of your lift hill that counts ...Its the quality of your ride!!

Wow, kudos to SFMM (and I'm a CP fanatic). This ride/layout looks absolutely incredible, and I'm glad they stayed away from a clone. This is the treatment this style of coaster needed. Maybe other parks will follow now. I even like the dragon head on the front of the car.
The ride looks and sounds phenomenal. For me new its always new coaster = great news, but, SFMM almost broke my heart two summers ago. It just pains me to see all these amazing coasters in a park that does a disappointing job taking care of them and the people who go there. It'll be interesting to see how often they would run all three trains on this coaster. *** Edited 11/17/2005 5:35:15 PM UTC by coy***

You won't see me coming...

Quote me on that. I'm KNOWN. *cough

Ruben must be known to some people other than message board folk. People lookin for a quote obviously know who he is and got a quote from him. I believe ive seen him on TV once or twice, not that that makes him well known, but a face. And who are you? *cough*. Thanks for calling alot of people , like your self, who post on message boards dorks.

Wow, someone arguing a 'pro-Ruben' stance!

This is most intriguing.

Thats the thing. They were looking for a quote to pump it up, and since Ruben is an attention whore, they went with him. He hasn't even ridden the ride, but his quote is still 'Best Ride EVAR!'

I didn't say I wasn't excited about the ride or anything, but this IS NOT what SFMM needs, hence the SF Gutter comment. If you don't like that, then you're the one that needs to 'get over it'. I made a comment stating my opinion, and you get all bent out of shape. Who really needs to 'get over it'?

Thanks for calling alot of people, like yourself, who post on message boards dorks.

Should I even go there? Hey, idiot! You're posting on a silly coaster message board too!

I hate to use this term, but isn't that obvious?

The loop seems as though it will be more intense than the S:UF's. Those where only around 80' tall. This one will be 124'. I guess I will reserve my opinion on the ride untill I make it out there again. Most of the ride seems like the "forceless" B&M's that have been coming out lately. I think it will be fairly boring for much of the ride.

It boasts about wrapping around the "Legendary Sky Tower" Is this because it is only a legend that it will ever open again in my lifetime?

My god Tekno/Gonch is that all you do is ***** and complain, this is a freakin announcement to a very nice looking rollercoaster and all you have done is complain. STFU killjoys! *** Edited 11/17/2005 7:08:46 PM UTC by TatsuRob***

From the original specs I was guessing that the total elevation change was going to be the 170 feet...but its actually 263 feet!

Actually, that would mean the ride would hit about 85 mph... not 62... so the total height elevation changes is 170.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
LoL, Nice first post there Rob. Gonch didn't complain about anything, I did.

Wonders how long you have with that 2nd account.

Oh, BTW, you're favorite coaster AND park sucks.

Reubens are pretty good....oh, wait, you said Ruben. Nevermind... ;)

P.S. Tatsu DOES look cool, is NOT launched, and DOES have a total elevation change of 263....just not all at once! ;)

edit: Will it be ready for the RideWorld event come next March? :)

second edit: IS Orient Express officially history? That ride really was an awesome thing, and an *integral* part of SFMM for me...

Wow.

SFMM you have finally caught my eye.

X was surprisingly not quite enough to get me there, (didnt want to risk going and it being closed), Scream definitely did not get me there, but Tatsu, I may finally have to travel from Atlanta to LA next year.

This layout, while yes, remaining relatively high in the air for the duration of the ride, has one of the most interesting layouts ive seen in some time.

I have to get on that thing

It is supposed to be readt by then, Gator. SFMM wanted the event to showcase Tatsu.

Anytime. Dork!

And thanks for already quoting my most quotable quote before you even knew who I was. The more you know me, the more quoting of me you'll do.

Except Tekno, of course--who isn't allowed to quote ANYTHING. Dammit, you already bought a used MOJ seat from Ebay! What more do you want?

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Love the dragon train, but the dragon's going to be upside down for most of the ride. Methinks the Dueling Dragons trains got the orientation right.

Like the colors and the layout. Can't say if I prefer a ground-hugging flyer or a way-up-in-the-air flyer. But it should be a big hit.

Anyone else think this will be the last flyer built in the U.S.? Second to last?
