Supports on site for Gadv's 05 Coaster

Just wondering if anyone noticed this...
http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail2832.htm
Listed as a Rocket...
Just a question, if it is a wild mouse or variation on that theme, why are they delivering parts close to a year before it would be expected to open? Analyse the supports all you want, but you could just take a step back and think it through logically. :)

I'd say Duane at RCDB has made the assumption of the rocket coaster on the same basis that people here did - by looking at the photos.

Who's to say it would open next August, and not next May, Aus.?

This is just a rumor I have heard from a former cp cop, but apparently TTD is actually somewhere between 440 and 445 feet tall. If that is the case I hope that six flags isn't trying just barely break the record by 6 or 8 feet. but on their budget, that wouldnt surprise me.

[s] No, TTD is really 550' but CP just lied so if a park tried to beat it they can just say "we fooled you, its really 550', so we still own you". [/s]

It's 420'.

Well the lemon chill guy told me the CP cop was full of 5|-|17.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Andy's right, the Dip-n-dots guy told me the same thing.

Well, RCDB has just been updated with the Intamin/Rocket Coaster since last nite. Guess it confirms what I was lead to believe...;)

I've known it since I saw the small pedestal supports.

I've known it since I saw the small pedestal supports.

And so did everyone else but one guy.

Thanks for the prophecy, Nostradamus. ;)

Edit - added quote for clarity because of the page break.

still trying to think of a good signature...

Its okay, Gonch, I've known it for about a month and a half, so I've got him beat.

That's cool, Tekno.

I actually dreamed about the ride in 1998. It's still clear as day. Big record breaking rocket coaster (and this is before rocket coasters, mind you) in New Jersey.

The only reason I never said anything is because I though it was going to Land Of Make Believe.

Go figure.

...oddly enough, the next night I dreamed a Gerstlauer spinning coaster was going to SFGAdv. I guess no one bats 1000. Sigh.

Still holding neutral ground, huh Gonch? ;)

VA, Everyone hopes it is so they can rub it in, but it is Intamin, no doubt about it.

*thinking about torment if not* ;)

Someone's gotta play Switzerland and all the other good countries were taken.

Sigh again.

It could run Storm Runner style w/ 3 trains or have a 4 train serial station (like TTD, but w/o separate unload) and hit reasonable capacity w/o gobs and gobs of track. Xcel's capacity isn't that bad either, is it?

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Xcel's capacity sucks because it launches out of the station. *** Edited 7/31/2004 4:53:35 PM UTC by rOLLocOASt***
I have mixed feelings about this. Happy because it would be cool to ride this Intamin Rocket even if it doesn't break TTD records (but I bet it will). Sad because most of us will never get to ride it. Those customer friendly SF managers and diligent SF maintennance people and policies will have the thing operating for a grand total of about one hour a week, just enough so the park can claim the ride does in fact operate.

Unlike TTD which is up ALLLLllllllll'el' the time.

How many Millennium Force clones are there? 0. Why? Because it's Cedar Point, and no one has the resources to challenege it.
