RE: Hydra
They tag lined Hydra "The Revenge" after its 'defeat' of Hercules to give it a powerful and menacing name. If they would have kept this mythological theme but had a tag line more fitting to the coaster, it would be called "Hydra: the Mildly Annoying"
Pray that anything that may replace SOB is more exciting than "Hydra: the Wasted Opportunity"

Hydra was probably the biggest disappointment out of all the highly anticipated coasters I've ridden. Look it up in the dictionary and under a little picture of the ride the entry reads, "Meh".
That's how I feel about MOST B&M rides. Other than Great Bear and Apollo's Chariot, personally I don't see the big deal. They all feel the same.
Moosh, all I know is your sources left me feeling dizzy, confused, and with a slightly sour taste in my mouth last time you shared their collective wisdom. ;)
CD, on that I have to disagree. There are good B&Ms and mediocre B&Ms. The former feature nonstop smooth force, while the latter are more like trying to ride a limp noodle.

The saving grace for Hydra is Talon...there are so many good B&M inverts, but Talon is such a fun crowd pleaser!!
I'll never forget my first trip to Dorney in the middle of July 07 on a completely cloud-less Saturday, and as I approached Talon I prayed for any wait under an hour...I turned the corner..station wait!?!
For over 2 hours my g/f and I marathoned on that and saw all the hour+ waits were in WWK! That was one of my best theme park experiences ever, and why I love dry-side Dorney! :)
