and agree whole heartedly with it. Anyone here actually have a good ride on this thing?
"The Beast is the classic. Son of Beast is too much. The force with which it throws you from side to side makes it feel like Mike Tyson is pounding on your ribs. It's more extreme than the beast and I'm not yet sure if it's a good thing. As our first ride ended, I swore I didn't want to ride again. I felt the same way immediately after the second ride.
AIR TIME: Hard to notice when you're getting mugged
RIDE: Rough - make that very rough
URP FACTOR: Too busy counting bruises to feel queasy
BEST FEATURE: The loop"

I don't agree with what they said about Maggie. It's not at all Milllie's little brother and offers an excellent ride. It has plenty of hills. Also, at night the Raptor can really cause some people some great discomfort if eating at all before. It is definitely not safe at all times. These people seem to be quite off on many of their comments but I guess riding a coaster and rating it is very subjective. ie "very rough" (may not have been on many other rough coasters), "ridden on golf carts that were rougher" (obviously must not get out much at all because MF is awesome and very forceful, especially in the front seat! I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I prefer the pears in the heavy syrup. They're just good.

I used to think that there wasn't a woodie rough enough. It didn't bother me. Now I can't stand it. I find myself getting tence to attempt to not let my spine get jarred. I carry alot of headache medicine cause I know I'll ride SOB and Mean Streak and the last two times I rode the Beast it gave me a headache. I think I was spoiled on the CCIs we have in Indiana and Michigan, I've ridden them all millions of times and not a single headache to report.
I hate press terms. And 2002 was the first season King Cobra was not operating.
Also Wicked Twister is a great ride and when is Mean Streak "Too smooth". I find the whole thing to be completely off.

Listen, SOB can be extremely unlpleasant, or great, depending totally on where you sit! I'm not talking so much as front or back, but over wheels or not. If you take the middle seat of each car, its much smoother, its unbelievably different. This holds true for almost every coaster as well! (Maggie is a good example) Now the front versus the back is also smoother, but the wheel assemblies are definately where NOT to sit.

Ride Coasters Always!
I had the most amazing ride ever one time. Mid-August, 9:30 PM. Front Seat. Smooth as steel. I mean it, the ride was quiet, smooth, fast, and... COMFORTABLE! The next day we went back to ride it again, after getting off, I was about ready to pass out. It was amazing the difference in the ride. Almost like day and night. (Pun intended)

87 different coasters for this year and counting... 149 total!
I rode the front seat on the last car and it was TERRIBLE. So slow between elements, no air at all. Even lats were minimal. It just bumps and jars and shakes you all up. By far the roughest, mot painful experience on a coaster since first riding FOF with those damn OTS restraints.
But i know that it was probably the seat. If i had chosen more wisely i could possibly have had a great ride i suppose. But the first ride was so rough and tumble i was unwilling to take that risk again. And again i go back to the pacing. It was terrible. Yes incredible speed at the bottoms, but nothing pushing you over the tops. SO for me the risk of a concussion wasn't worth the medioce ride.
Those who've ridden with me know how much I love it! I think if you ride any coaster as much as I've ridden SOB, you get used to the minimal pain in may have and just ride it! Put your hands up and just let the coaster do its job.
Danny, who is officially insane on the Buzz now that he's revealed he loves Son of Beast, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, and Vekoma =)
