Six Flags New England 2011

I thought SFNE was getting a Windseeker - The Euromouse. This, on the other hand, is completely unacceptable. Confounded baby seal-clubbers!

Funny thing is, I think the mouse would fit in better at SFoG and the Euro Fighter at SFNE. My big beef with SF has to do with the parking passes now only being good for the park that it is issued at.

I don't understand. Is SF building a SF in India.

SFNE has been receiving hand-me-down rides for years now the only original rides built for the park in the last decade were Batman:TDK and Pandemonioum. Catapult, SWFalls, flashback were from other parks and now we are getting a standard run of the mill wild mouse from KK. The last major addition coaster wise was 2002 when Batman was added. I agree with Dave SFNE needs a major addition to get thrill seekers more excited for the park other than Bizarro. A eurofighter would've been a great addition especially as the 10th coaster not a used wild mouse.

Honestly, Bizarro and Batman are a more powerful duo than most parks in this country can boast of, and that's saying nothing of the fact that SFNE really is an outstanding park beyond the ride collection. It's not like SFNE really needs anything, so why the hate for the mouse?

I don't hate WIld Mouses and I agree Bizarro and Batman:TDK are a powerful duo but beyond them we have Cyclone which just plain hurts to ride, Flashback a standard vekoma boomerang from KK, and Mind Eraser a vekoma slc both of which do their fair share of head banging. Then we have Thunderbolt and Pandemonium two really solid family rides that I enjoy. Followed by Catwoman and the Great Chase a kid and jr coaster plus a would be mouse would give us 5 family coasters and 5 thrilling coasters only two of which are good and aren't past their prime which always have ridiculous lines because there is no other coaster to compete with them in the park.

And I bet that people line up for both of them...

...which always have ridiculous lines...

Exactly.

My goodness, the park has 10 roller coasters as of 2011, at least 4 major thrill rides, a few water rides, a nice selection of family rides, and the kiddy ride selection seems nice too. Not to mention a sky ride, a train, and a nice looking water park.

No one here feels sorry for you. Heck, my home park got 2 recycled coasters and a recycled swings ride, and you know what? People here were happy to get those. Aside from the whiny enthusiasts that didn't get what they wanted. I mean, you got FIVE coasters in the last 10 years, and would have gotten six of TDK hadn't been squashed. On top of that, you've gotten 16 new rides in 10 years. That's 21 rides! There are plenty of other parks that don't have 10 coasters or that haven't gotten so many rides. And all of this complaining because of a mouse.

Boohoo all you want, but I don't understand why people are complaining about a mouse NOW, when the park had to cancel the mouse they were going to get a couple years ago. Jeez.

And look at Six Flags America. That park hasn't gotten much of anythign in the last 10 years. They got a new coaster 9 years ago, a family raft ride, and a Thomas Town. That's all to the dry side, and they got a water park makeover. That's 4 additions in almost 10 years.

Plus they haven't announced anything for next year, and most people expect them not to get much if anything. So at least you're getting something.

I love Cyclone at SFNE. It is in my top 10 woodies. Thunderbolt on the other hand was a snooze IMO.

You should see what happens when the management gets their hands on baby turtles. You'll have to cover your children's eyes.

Also, SFNE fanboys - is your argument that the mouse is a bad business move or that you don't like it? Because I can promise you the people who made the decision put a lot more thought into the business of it than you have.

But if you just don't like it, you are completely entitled to your opinion but that doesn't make the management incompetent.

in no way am i saying it will not be a popular ride with the kids. That is not the point im trying to make. The point is when you add a new or used ride your goal is to market it and hope that it brings in more customers. You dont piss of your loyal customers and drive them away adding crappy rides that they can ride at any fair or carnival. How many people do you know that are going to say i have to get back to SFNE so i can ride the new mouse coaster. Plus from a business standpoint its dumd to add a ride like that to a park that services one of the richest markets in the country. Us SFNE fanboys deserve a new ride since we havent gotten one since 06. I would be happier if that went to TGE like it was suppose to and see them paint the oldest coaster in the chain (Thunderbolt) which is such an eyesore in the center of the park.

So basically you are saying that you know the financials of their company better than they do (without even seeing basic numbers like cost of installation, maintenance, estimates on attendance and per cap impact, different marketing and merchandising scenarios) and if they followed your advice they'd make more money?

And also you deserve it? Really?

... because he has done so much for the park.

Um, if Wild Mice weren't so marketable...there wouldn't be So Many of them.

How are they ticking people off? 100% of the people they care about either don't care or don't know it's a used ride, and they'll be marketing it as the park's 10th coaster. Hey, Carowinds did that with their mouse too (which happened to be the park's 10th coaster) and I didn't hear any complaints about that park failing...

And fanboys deserve NOTHING. Ever. Because fanboys whine too much.

What coasters have been anounced for next season besides Chang a SFGrAdv and the Texas Giant Remodel at SFOT? If those are the only two people know about they must be planning at least a couple more

I live in Jersey and keep up with GAdv, obviously. But unless I missed the memo, I've seen no OFFICIAL announcement of Chang's pending arrival in my home state.. Yeah, I've seen rumors up the wazoo, and Chang is the only stand-up I ever came close to liking, so it's fine by me if true. However, being as technologically impaired as I am, I don't Facebook or Twitter. So maybe I did miss something. But I just don't think it's come from the proverbial 'horse's a.."..I mean "mouth"...yet.

^I missed that in my browsing - but Mr. Six's DanceCoaster has been officially announced for 2011 @ SFMM for quite some time now...

GADv got zoning permission to put the ride in, and a map they had showing an overhead of the layout of Chang was used. Also, the trains are on site.

its dumd

Indeed.

It costs alot more to move a ride than it does to buy a new one. They have to pay someone to take it down, then ship it, get it painted, and put it back up!

source? :)

And who said they were gonna paint it anyways...
