Shockwave Info. Updated

Wow, you take this stuff *way* too seriously.

Please don't resort to name calling, it's not very becoming for someone of your age.

C'mon Pancake, its just a ride. Mamoosh, your just EVIL today! LOL

Living in Houston and having SFAW as my home park has taught me one important lesson. It just does not pay to get upset about a coaster (or lack of one or getting a used one)! I have lots of other things to worry about first! lol

BUT, if Shockwave was dropped into SFAW, would I be upset? Nah, but I woudn't be excited either. Just one of those things......

Shockwave opened in 1988, not 1998.

Ooops... sorry about the typo.

I guarantee you Six Flags wouldn't have purchased another coaster from CCI even if they were still open today. CCI burned their bridges with SF and ultimately paid for it over time.

For some reason I smell a Zamperla Flying coaster heading for SFAW, dont ask me why, but I do. ;)

Chris Godsey - I hear Six Flags is going to start their ride rotation program again. Elitch's Zamperla Volare will go to Astroworld next year and SFEG will get Shockwave [but don't worry...it will eventually move to SFAW in 2005].

Moosh - is that smoke coming out of Pankake's ears?

If they finally give up on Texas Tornado, Volare is just the right size and a reasonably good family ride. Not exactly high capacity, but at a park that often runs single trains operation I guess that's not a huge concern.

That's better than leaving the things SBNO, though trading Tornado for a rough old Arrow looper really isn't. They should just melt Shockwave down and recycle the steel (the only Arrow/Vekoma big corkscrew ride I have really even slightly enjoyed is Vortex at PKI). People in Chicago don't want it, what's makes them think we do?
