Picket signs?

Two words: Body paint! :)

Hey, even a stripper starts out clothed.

I think someone should create a T-shirt saying "Rights for the Shirtless." And then sell flesh colored magnet ribbons to put on people's cars.

So what? You havent seen boxers shorts or hair before?......So what if its not classy, not everyone wants to be "classy"..... Everybody is something, everybody has something special....... Maybe you need to get into a more fun mood and not be such a sour puss....

....I don't see why not, the world sees fit to impose its puritanical values on me and force me be uncomfortable and wear a shirt. Shirtless people dont impose themselves on anyone more than anybody else does.

OH, SO JUST BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SEE SOME GUY WITH HIS PANTS HALFWAY DOWN, WITH EVERYTHING EXPOSED, I'M PURITANICAL???????? You're a real tool, you know that???? You must be some sicko that goes around the parks eyeing everyone up (that's a troll).

As for "being special," I'm sure you are! LOL!!! 'oooooh, I'm uncomfortable, I have to wear a shirt, waaaaaa!!!!' .....SPARE ME YOUR SOPHOMORIC DRAMATICS. I didn't realize your skin was so fragile.

And, leave me alone and let me be in whatever mood I want to be in (and, I'm NEVER in a bad mood unless someone puts me into one at a park). I'm as happy as clam! But I have a fervent distaste for people like you who think they have "all the rights in the world to do whatever they want, AND SCREW EVERYBODY ELSE."

....that's basically what you're about, right? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

P.S.

Yea, and ban this fool aswell. What a disrespectful jerk. People who are in love with themselves so much that they think they can do whatever they want in "Family" enviroments just need to be jailed in my opinion. Go to a beach, a waterpark, a nudist colony for crying out loud. What a tool.
Yeah, let's fight intollerance WITH intollerance. Jailing people for what they think? Yet again you prove that you are a closed minded individual as well.

Word to the wise Mike131 don't run into Lakecrystal at a park if you've had an adult beverage or two. Apparently he comes out swinging.

Yeah is Good!

Just because I have the choice to put a shirt on or not doesnt necessarily make it right for the park to ask me to do it. Just like it wouldnt be right for them to ask a person of a different color to convert to white before they come in even if they could.

You are way off in left field on this one.

So, if seeing you shirtless makes me vomit, then by your own definition you are affecting other guests at the park and you should be forced to put on a shirt, correct?

What are writing a book wear a tanktop and get over it.
This whole thing is making my pits itch! I'll leave my shirt on whilst I scratch away.

As I posted earlier, I used to go to Paragon Park and adults and kids would ride the coaster with just shorts on, no shoes either. I really hated the sweat and who knows what else on the seats.

This was in the 70's and early 80's until the park closed for good.

If a park chooses shirts and shoes to enter a park, then that's what you do, PERIOD!!!

I was at the Holiday world event this Memorial Day and the park does not allow smoking except in certain areas. I chose to obey the rules out of respect to the park and to the patrons, PERIOD!!!!

I think when youre working for someone you do things differently than when youre merely visiting there as a guest. Two different situations.

Not really. Rules are rules, whether you work or visit there.

What about my point concerning vomiting at the sight of you shirtless? You would be disrupting the guests and therefore, by your definition, you should be forced to wear a shirt.

I think most jobs would fire you for being shirtless. Besides life guarding and stripping, I can't think of a single job that wouldn't fire you.

Maybe somebody should change that. There are jobs out there where you can be shirtless some of the time if not most if you play your cards right.

Not enforcing rules is grounds for firing in many cases.

They gotta prove that you actually saw the person shirtless though ;) Id just claim I didnt see him/her. I cant enforce a rule if I dont see anyone breaking it :)

So I should be able to go to parks pantless? I mean, I'd be as nature intended for me to be...

In my humble opinion....yes I beleive you should be able to but thats a different issue. I dont know a whole lot of people who dont want to wear pants in public.

LOL. Oppressive society. Just conjures a picture of angry shirtless protesters with "Say NO to Shirts" picket signs.

Maybe thats what people have to do at some point. I would hope things could be settled without having to resort to that though.

Exactly. See my point above, no one's forcing you to look at my junx flappin' in the breeze, yo. Just walk away.
Please...keep your shirt on. And pants.

Well you showing your....lower extremities falls into the exposing sexual organs/nudity category and right now thats illegal so thats a whole different issue entirely. Sure I beleive you should be able to be nude if you wish but I would rather just make it so people can do things that are already legal for the time being, like going shirtless then worry about stuff like that.

Well hi to you too, I can see youre just as pleasant as always.

So, if seeing you shirtless makes me vomit, then by your own definition you are affecting other guests at the park and you should be forced to put on a shirt, correct?

Me being shirtless doesnt "make" you vomit. You vomit because you chose to, I dont force you to do it.

Now thats not a nice way to talk about yourself is it?

Thats what happens on a hot day.

If a park chooses shirts and shoes to enter a park, then that's what you do, PERIOD!!!

If they wanted you to wear a dress and pink bunny slippers in order to come in would you do that?

I was at the Holiday world event this Memorial Day and the park does not allow smoking except in certain areas. I chose to obey the rules out of respect to the park and to the patrons, PERIOD!!!!

That's a legitimate rule to obey. Smoking is hazardous to your health and to everybody around you who breathes it in.

Not really. Rules are rules, whether you work or visit there.

I mean you just do things/ act differently when youre doing a job and working someplace than you do when youre merely visiting a park as a guest. Theyre two different things. I guess a good example is, when youre working youre required to wear a uniform and it has to meet certain standards whereas when youre a guest you can wear pretty much anything you want and theres no standards to be met within reason. Obviously thats just one example but im sure you get my drift.

What about my point concerning vomiting at the sight of you shirtless? You would be disrupting the guests and therefore, by your definition, you should be forced to wear a shirt.

But like I said before, I dont "make" you vomit, you do that yourself. Theres no natural/healthy reason to vomit at the sight of a shirtless man.

Hm.

So there I am, meandering down the park midway, no desire to vomit.

I see a shirtless man, his rolls of fat glistening as the sweat oozes down his hairy rolls. Drawing closer, the rank odor of his sweat wafts past my nostrils. Suddenly, my stomach starts to churn and I feel bile rising in my throat.

Seems to me the shirtless man is indeed making me vomit...

I would have no problem if everyone was buff and had "ideal" bodies walking around without shirts at parks.

I dont know how to respond to this arogant, narrow minded dumb *** comment. Not to mention the one about Acers. Now I know why tigers sometimes eat their own young.

You're not only dumb, but also full of lame ass remarks. It was about the thread as a whole and the fact that this argument is even taking place. I just happened to decide to come in here and see what all the commotion was about.

I'd hate to get into this with you and use big words that you might not understand like "the" and "what".... But you turning around an equally unappealing comment such as mine to to make yourself look witty, left open too many jokes to let that go unanswered.

Seriously, you're arguing with people about not wearing a shirt. I cannot think of any argument in my years on the internet that even holds a candle to the stupidity you have brought upon yourself and the brave shirtless pioneers of todays modern amusement parks.

I'd really hate to break it to you seeing as how you're way to high on the horse for your own good (but just fine for my amusement)but you're not the Martin Luther King Jr. of shirtless men. You can get your picket signs, body paint and shirtless human chains out all you want and no one is going to listen to you. You'll end up as some sound byte on some morning radio show or at most a joke on The Daily Show or Countdown.

Give it up, you're a joke and this site is about amusement parks and the things they contain that we get our jollies off of. I've been through all the galleries here and at Pointbuzz and shirtless freaks are not one of them.

Fat Chick in a tutu being fed by a midget.

Did anyone eles find it ironic when Mike131 corrected someone for using the word "madd" instead of "mad?" This is coming from the same person who hasn't figured out yet that a) it's spelled "aren't" not "areint" and b) it's spelled "whether" not "weither"

Mike131, I'm not a moderator for those who will accuse me of trying to be one. But I've already given you advice on a previous page. Take your bare chested campaign to a site that actually gives a crap about it. As I told you, there are plenty of sites that cater to your needs.

As it stands right now, all you're doing is attacking anyone who has a difference of opinion from yours, and you wonder why it's getting hostile.

Mike, please step away from the computer and admit defeat. Come join us in the other threads where we actually talk about important things at parks like "When's El Toro going to open?":)

Hey, before this ridiculous thread got brought back from the dead, I haven't had a problem with anyone. And to whoever it is that thinks I come out swinging over someone who has a few adult beverages, your still closed minded yourself in that you will not listen to the reason.

Overly obnoxious DRUNKS, not those who just have a few and don't act like complete jerks. The ones who try to ruin a day. When are you ever going to understand that? I may have been harsh about the subject back then, but you caught me on the wrong day. I apologized once already but no one really cares. I haven't even given them a reason to in quite a while. I've been civil in every thread for a long time now.

As far as this thread is concerned, it's ridculous and it will get nowhere. I mean cmon', I think many would agree that this guy has gone a little far with this. That is a bit over the edge don't you think? To go that far with it? Especially when 80% or more of the public agree with park rules?

I dunno, but since it's obvious I still have enemies here and no one here can let bygones be bygones, I think I'll just chime out on this one. If this Mike dude would find a middle somewhere with this, I'd let bygones be bygones with him. It's just obsurd in my opinion. I'm out. This is a coaster chat site, so thats what I'm gonna do. It's more interesting.
