Sheikra lines

Hello,

What are the lines like during the week? We are going in November and don't know what to expect.

Thanks!

There will be people in them. ;) (btw, that ;) was a wink indicating a little bit of sarcasm....it wasn't meant to be hostile. :)) BTW, welcome to Coasterbuzz woohoo! We hope you find your stay here enjoyable. Feel free to browse around and most importantly check out the TOS and other helpfull areas on here. Again, welcome to the Buzz!

Woohoo: if we told you the lines were going to be very, very long would you cancel your trip or still go?

No, I wouldn't cancel my trip, but I may not go on that ride. I have other people going with me and I don't won't to make them wait for a long time. I will be riding solo.

I was just wondering what to expect as far as lines for the ride.

No one knows what the lines will be on the day you will be there. I _would_ expect it to be the longest of the rides there.

That depends. What will the weather be like the day you're at the park? Is school in session or is it a holiday? Are there any special events that at the park that day? Are there any group outings or corporate picnics scheduled for that day?

You see, the trouble with asking a question like yours is that no one here has a crystal ball. We can't see into the future. Anyone who was at the park around the same time last year could tell you what the lines were like then but that's not necessarily a good barometer of what lines will be like this year.

I really think you're just going to have to play it by ear once you get there.

I understand that. I was just trying to get an idea from others who may have gone there on a weekday during the off-season, not summer.
I went last July (I think it was July...) and was happy to discover that Sheikra had a single rider line. The lines were really long, but the single rider line was only about 10-15 minutes.

I ended up riding it about 20 times over the course of 2 days.

The best seat, in my opinion, is the back row, seat closest to the loading platform. In that seat, you get amazing airtime on the drop and Immelman, and coming out of the Immelman, it looks like you are going to crash into the track that passes over you.

The ride ops do not let you choose your seat, but if you ride it several times, chances are that you'll get a variety of experiences.

From what I understand, BGT can be hit or miss. Just this past Friday we waited 15-20 minutes tops, while the park was packed! Remember a lot of folks go for the wildlife and such.

Anyhow, I don't think I've ever read a TR with anything more than an hour..

Thank you. That helps too. I will be traveling with my family and we've never been to BGT, so I would like to experience it together not wait all day in line for a ride, even though I really want to ride it.

Please don't quote the previous post. We know who you're responding to. Thanks.

Sorry.
Even with a full queue that ride eats people. If they run 4 trains or more your wait shouldn't be that bad.

Fate is the path of least resistance.

Until the midsummer crowds return, I don't expect to wait more than 15-20 minutes to ride SheiKra again...it really does eat people, thanks in large part to the restrictive carry-on policy being enforced...then again, the "grouper" person has YET to prove helpful in queueing guests. That's because the FCAT doesn't test to see if people can count to eight reliably, LOL... :)

Don't go on Saturdays, don't go in the Summer, or during Spring Break, and BGT is great for lines...Gwazi notwithstanding. ;)

Then again, I'm planning on Howl-O-Scream next Sunday, so... ;)

I was there in august and september and I didnt wait for anything but Sheikra, but that was because of a breakdown! and we still only waited 20min. The coaster is amazing!

I hope you enjoy your trip!

"On wednesdays we wear Pink!"

Oh yes and here's a tip that could make your wait a couple of trains shorter:

For 2/4 of my rides, they weren't assigning rows, and everyone crowded in the first train and the first row of the second train (they load two trains at once). The last two rows of the second train were walk-ons while the other rows probably had 2 train waits. Not too much but it's something :)

When I read that, it so reminded me of TRL.

Why is everyone so rude to the new guys on this board??? Woohoo, asked a simple ? why does everyone have to shoot them down (couldn't it just be one of the mod. or Jeff)...

I mean yeah, you should read the rules before posting, but whoever really does read them???

Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking any rules. It is everyone's responsibility to follow the rules. Just because you break one rule (reading the TOS) doesn't mean it should be ok to break another until you're told about it.

I can't understand why people condone such irresponsibility.

I went to BGT for half a day back in September (around Labor Day). I think we waited less than 10 minutes for Sheikra (which was a good ride) and we walked on to Gwazi. It was a weekday but I don't think the weekends are really busy this time of year either.
