Woohoo: if we told you the lines were going to be very, very long would you cancel your trip or still go?
No, I wouldn't cancel my trip, but I may not go on that ride. I have other people going with me and I don't won't to make them wait for a long time. I will be riding solo.
I was just wondering what to expect as far as lines for the ride.
You see, the trouble with asking a question like yours is that no one here has a crystal ball. We can't see into the future. Anyone who was at the park around the same time last year could tell you what the lines were like then but that's not necessarily a good barometer of what lines will be like this year.
I really think you're just going to have to play it by ear once you get there.
I ended up riding it about 20 times over the course of 2 days.
The best seat, in my opinion, is the back row, seat closest to the loading platform. In that seat, you get amazing airtime on the drop and Immelman, and coming out of the Immelman, it looks like you are going to crash into the track that passes over you.
The ride ops do not let you choose your seat, but if you ride it several times, chances are that you'll get a variety of experiences.

From what I understand, BGT can be hit or miss. Just this past Friday we waited 15-20 minutes tops, while the park was packed! Remember a lot of folks go for the wildlife and such.Anyhow, I don't think I've ever read a TR with anything more than an hour..
Thank you. That helps too. I will be traveling with my family and we've never been to BGT, so I would like to experience it together not wait all day in line for a ride, even though I really want to ride it.

Don't go on Saturdays, don't go in the Summer, or during Spring Break, and BGT is great for lines...Gwazi notwithstanding. ;)
Then again, I'm planning on Howl-O-Scream next Sunday, so... ;)

For 2/4 of my rides, they weren't assigning rows, and everyone crowded in the first train and the first row of the second train (they load two trains at once). The last two rows of the second train were walk-ons while the other rows probably had 2 train waits. Not too much but it's something :)
I can't understand why people condone such irresponsibility.
