As for not putting the laptop in a locker? it's safer there out-of-sight in an area with locker attendants, etc. than it is out in your car in the parking lot.
It seems season pass sales have been a major focus for Six Flags. The whole DreamNite thing was about getting people to buy season passes because you had to have one to enter.
But whatever. I think Shapiro is an idiot, so don't catagorize me as one of his fanboys.
I mean, how can they deny you re-entry if you have a season pass?
I believe that technically the rule is already one scan per pass per day. If you leave and return you need stamped. (the idea is to stop any potential misuse with multiple people using one pass)
I do believe most parks follow that logic already. How tightly it is enforced is a different story.
I love the irony of people having to be wired (symbolically) 24/7, every second of the day, then complaining about how stressed out they are and how they have so little free time.
However, I can't complain. I like my job, get paid well for doing it, and have enough time for fun and frivolity. We have at least three (and usually four) weeks of travel each year, plus quite a bit of time that we take off during the summer months; I have a nine-month appointment, and I can blend the other three with a mixture of contract work and time off for whatever floats my boat.
For example, summer '08 might be spent in Shanghai teaching at a University there.
I haven't yet brought my laptop into a park, but I certainly have brought it to get work done while on leisure trips. Usually, after the kids are tucked in bed, I can get an hour or two's worth of work in before I turn in myself. This is yet another reason why my family cannot fathom living in a single box of a hotel room for more than a night or two.

Then again, I don't get the whole bring your laptop to an amusement park thing. I go to be amused, not to do work, or keep in touch with people who aren't there. And being productive is definitely the least of my worries (I have utilizations to fill out all the time in my office).I love the irony of people having to be wired (symbolically) 24/7, every second of the day, then complaining about how stressed out they are and how they have so little free time.
We had free tickets there this summer and wanted to use them before the school year started so my mom took us on a Saturday where she had a lot of "work" work and school work so she took her LapTop with her. She dosen't ride anything except for the Ferris Wheel, Sky Ride and Skyscraper. She got to work in a nice enviroment(Near Frontier Trail) and we got to have fun on the rides.

That's the current rule, but obviously something that could (should?) and probably would be changed IF they do, indeed, institute a no re-entry policy.

In my limited experience, not at all. I've been told twice that "you should have gotten a hand-stamp, your SP is valid only once per day". Don't recall the situations specifically, I know one of them was when there was NO ONE around with a handstamp at the exit. I do recall that on both occasions I was back in the park without delay...
Seems stupid....kinda like the no re-entry policy in the first place...LOL! ;)
