SFWOA TRACK and SUPPORT sighting!!!

Oh yeah! Silly me. It's pretty late.

Planned parks: Astroland, Knoebel's, Hersheypark, SFNE, SFGadv,SFGam,CP,PKI,PKD,PCW,HW,Indiana Beach,SFWOA,SFKK,SFDL,SFSTL,Lakemont,DelGrosso's... Need I say more?

I, too, do not wish for a SFDL version of SRoS. I was not impressed with the ride though it does have a decent first drop.

While looking at the layout of SRoS at SFNE on Badnitrus, that ride would fit in at SFWoA except the twisted ending would have to be altered. Using Geauga Lake for an underwater tunnel would be a nice feature towards the end of the ride.

I have my own ideas for a layout.

From those layout pics it looks like a Goliath clone (SFH version) but without the helix. So maybe it'll be named Goliath too :-p

no it will be TITAN, because it's Goliath altered a little bit....lol

That'd be kool if they made it just a bigger version of Goliath at Sfh. The Stengle Dive would fit right in there.

It says it has a 60' turnaround. Doubt it'll be a SFA/SFDL clone. Yes. Hopefully, we'll get a Stengle dive in the US (and another one of those super sexy cable lifts).

A rollercoaster? What's that?

Just a little update... Magnum Dan told me on the phone that a number of trucks with supports are at the park.

Where in SFWOA did he say he see the supports at????

-----------------

Jeff, did Dan give confirmation of which manufacturer the supports appear to be (if he could tell at all)?

As a side note, it's good to hear that Dan hasn't vanished off the face of the Earth!

It tastes like burning.

How did those pictures turn out of the truck and track? Just wondering..:)
Where exactly were these trucks? I want to look for them when I go to work tomorrow. Also what color were they? Just to confirm the last sighting.

I don't know that he saw all that much detail. He was probably in a hurry, on his way to Cedar Point for the first time in a month. ;) Besides, it's not easy to distinguish supports, as most have a variety of bolt holes and those crossed plates that sit in the footer holes.

I would think this would be for SFWoA. Reason being is because most hypers I have seen use 2 or 3 rail on the lift...now with 4 rail they will not have to use as many supports...and the lift is supposed to go right begind the Batman stadium. I imagine they want to keep the supports minimal. Also they may want to use all the room they can get with an elevator style lift.

I believe SFH's Goliath uses an Elevator lift...does anyone know if it has a steep lift or a normal degree lift?

Blitzjade it's (re: Raging Bull) not even the only hyper twister in the US. Ever hear of Goliath and Titan

Well, I have to say that for me, Goliath was a HYPER-twister, while the Bull was such a neutered, over-braked, "steer" that I'd just as soon *steer* clear of and go ride something else. I can't believe they could put THAT many brakes on it before I could get to Chi-town.....bummer. Goliath's helix, OTOH, was simply amazing...I still have tunnel-visionn over a week later,,,:)

if you aren't outraged, perhaps you haven't been paying attention...

Once again just to let everyone know, there are no supports or track anywhere at SFWoA.

SFWoA ATL in 2002!

rollergator...Bull trim's have been there since day 1. Sorry you got to experience the ride on such a crummy day, it's usually not as bad as you're saying!

I rode once this year and was pleased with its performance. Still in my top 10!
