SFWOA TRACK and SUPPORT sighting!!!

coaster_fanatic_kid - I doubt it was heading for Great Escape. While an Intamin Hyper and Impulse were brought up as possible's for the park to recieve at last years board meeting, I dont see it coming just yet. If anything id say the park will be reciving a clone of SFNE's B:TDK since its so small, well below the parks height limit and an all around good ride.

I do see the park getting an Impulse to especially since it was brought up at the meeting, but there's no way they'd be recieving track and supports for it this early. Great Escape has always waited until the offseason with coasters and will do the same for the '03 season if we even get a new coaster (which we better!!!)

hopefully im wrong though and it is headed there lol. anyways ill take a look when i go there and see if there's anything behind ghost town/jungle land (thats where they seem to put everything)

Not necessarily a hyper, but a junior hyper or whatever. I dunno, I'm hoping man, they could be getting it up mid-season for fright-fest or something, I'm praying the Grea Escape is getting it.

Why ride rough coasters when you can ride smooth ones?

Wait a minute, you mean to say that you think it's "wrong" to take pictures while driving? Been there, done that. Granted, not a "professional" quality just a POS P-A-S(point and shoot). You dont even actually look through the viewfinder. If you think *that* is distracting, perhaps you should also lobby against all the billboard that litter the interstates!

Jeremy, I agree 100%. Listening to radios can be a distraction, so can looking in your mirror, drinking a soda, the list goes on and on... :-)

i hear ya! we need something new...id love to see a hyper at the park. i mean its not all that bad having to drive to SFNE but having one closer to home would be great! :)
you know they could go underground to like SFNE's SROS...just alittle farther down that would be pretty cool :) but with a hyper at SFDL and SFNE i dont see that coming to GE anytime soon, so if the track somehow ends up at GE im guessing Impulse...which I wont complain :) atleast it wouldnt be another park reject!

What you really should be sorry about is trying to take pictures while driving!! And what is lucky is that you didn't lose control of your car, have an accident and possible kill yourself, and others, simply because you were all hyped up about taking pictures of rollercoaster track. Too bad I didn't see you driving and taking those pictures, because I would have pulled off and called the state patrol to report you.

Wow, nothing like jumping to conclusions there, eh RAD?

Do you feel stupid now? If not, you should.

James is a little more intelligent than that.

You would think this track would have arrived SOMEWHERE by now! Of course it could be well hidden wherever it is.

Something's not right here guys... and I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this. Something doesn't add up with these colors, location, and timing of the sighting of this track for it to be part of SFWoA's new hyper. But on the flip side, James is a credible person. Too many questions that remained un-answered for me to believe that the spotted track is for SFWoA.

Maybe the track is for one park and the supports are for another. That would make 2 new Intamins for next year! :)

I agree with Jes, I figured that the new hyper would definately NOT be blue. Because then the general public would really think it's a smaller Millie. I figured they'd make it Orange or maybe a Forest Green.....But NOT Blue. I hope Sfwoa is a little smarter than that.

(Despite all of what the general public thinks, I don't care as long as it's an Intamin, lol.)

I see...so now not only do we know what parks are thinking we know what the general public is thinking, too? That's REALLY funny!

I can see both sides, Mamoosh. A person might come up to SFWoA's hyper and think "That kind of looks like Millennium Force, but Millennium Force is bigger. This ride's not as good as MF because MF is taller." On the other hand, they might not even think of the similarity or they could think "This is like MF but it is more my size. I'm too scared to ride MF but this doesn't look too bad." At any rate, I am sure the new ride will bring new people into the park and I am sure I will love it. With an Intamin hyper, you can't go wrong.
I doubt that the track would be heading to CP or MIA given that the sighting was east of these parks and heading further east. I also don't understand why the trucks would be taking I-90. It goes to Cleveland then Erie through NY and on to Boston. I-80 would be a far more direct solution, and I know that ride parts have been taken up SR43 in the past. Perhaps the track was headed to someplace else like SFDL or SFNE.
Wasn't PCW rumored for a Intamin Hyper in 2003 as well? That sure as heck would be on route this track was headed.

Although a bit out of the way, I-90 is still one way to get to SFWOA. You could to it to Jennings Freeway or I-77 and cut down to I-480 and take that to SR 422 and then get off at SR 91 and take that to SR 43.

It seems as if he's credible, but I won't believe it til I see pictures, and so far I haven't seen any.

why is everyone so fixated on a hyper coaster, for all you know it could be a 90ft tall intamin inverted coaster like Tornado in Finland...the GP doesnt know any better, all they know is if there is a new coaster advertised on TV, they want to ride it. it doesnt neccesarily have to be a record breaker, or even something similar to it, just a coaster.

just because the last time track was spotted it just happened to be a hypercoaster, doesnt mean all the other times its going to be one, chill out people...

Considering SFWoA got permission to build a 200 FOOT COASTER, (hypercoaster) its a reasonable guess to say that it is a hyper or at least 200 feet tall. Of course, the (supposed) track may not even be going to SFWoA, because we don't even know if it is track or not.

i suppose...i just think six flags is killing the specialness of the hypercoaster, they'r building way too many of them...the trendyness is horrible...but thats six flags for you, ruining everything...cant wait to see when they kill a whole coaster company, oh wait...they've already done that ;)
