SFNO removing rides

I have a question. Had anyone ridden their Batman? Since this is the only B&M (as far as I know) that has ever been relocated.

Did it survive the move ok?

Yeah, it's fine. Just as smooth and intense as any other. The only thing that I thought was odd was that the trains are only 7 rows long (I believe the others are 8).

Though this one has less theming than even namtaB (SFStL).

B:TR isn't smooth (at least not the one at GAdv..)

2Hostyl, You are correct we only have 7 cars instead of other parks I have been to have 8..ours seems a little faster maybe because of the weight difference...We are thankful though instead of a 20 minute load time and dispatch adding one more car might overload our workers and cause a 30 minute dispatch time LOL Hear at SFNO we are working to guarantee you have a trip to remember sometimes though it is one you really don't want to remember ROFLOL

From what I've heard, the trains were spares that were bought for some of the bigger parks under Time Warner. They were not the ones from Thrill Valley. Batman usually stacks all the time anyway, so I don't think the extra 4 seats make a huge difference.
I thought the Batman at SFNO was one of the best for a couple of reasons. First, the colors are awesome and unique, second the ride was really smooth and intense, even with the shortened train and lastly because of the amazing view you get going over the lift in the front row. All you see is a big lake right under you which is atypical for that ride.

OMG I have a new sig!!!
Atleast Yall dont have Worlds of Fun as your home park. As it isnt a bad park by any means and I love going there every summer but the Mamba gets old after awhile.
^Speak for yourself there but at least WOF recently added a new coaster.....something allot of SF parks have gone without for the past few years,MIA seems to be the only park in the chain in need of new attractions.

Add to that the fact that CF really values customer service & making sure rides are operating to capacity. Now if only a majority of SF parks can figure that out instead of having to rely on just three out of the 20 plus parks that SFI owns & operates then maybe they wouldn't be in the financial mess they're in now.

Haven't ridden SFNOs. The only one that has good theming as far as I'm concerned was SWT's Great White....but that was *clearly* the roughest of the B:TR's I've ridden...I don't really accept a disgusting boneyard and sewer "theming" as much, sorry, LOL...:)

The Freezes, *those* I consider to have among the best of SF theming, SFFT aside (a true THEME park inside the chain)...:)

I did *notice* the HOLE where their coaster (Joker's Revenge) was taken from...and ironically, placed at SFNO...where I really hope to get to ride it this year...hmmm, maybe on the RRR trip, HAVE to get to Visionland now that they have "Crimson Cloverleaf"...:)

The best rides I can recall on any of the B:TRs were the ones at Spring Fling last year, SFoG's was HAULING...:) *** Edited 2/20/2005 8:30:28 PM UTC by rollergator***

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I really enjoyed the SFNO Batman if not only because it is so different than the other ones. The paint scheme, the open station, the open queue with the cut outs similar to Batwing or the Superman:UF coasters, the drop over the lake, the shorter train. Very unique compared to the others. I found the ride itself to be just as intense as the other ones I've ridden (all of them except Texas).
SFNO's Batman is my fav of the bunch. The drop over the lake rocks!

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

Say huh? B:TR at Gadv has always been smooth to me...

Oh and it figures, Gonch and Nasai would be happy about Viper moving somewhere, now they'd have a reason to go visit that park as well ;)

Then again I'm thrilled to death that Viper is going BYE-BYE! NA NA NA NA...NA NA NA NA...HEY HEY HEY...GOODBYE!!! :) :) :)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Don't get me wrong, it's smoother than Great Bear, but I personally think that both Raptor at CP and Talon at DP were smoother, and I usually have a slight headache when I get off. It's intense, and I do like riding, however it's not a coaster I would define as 'smooth' (To be fair, I should mention that there are plenty of rougher creations too.)

*shrugs* perhaps I always catch it on an off day?

Yup. I'm going to be the first ever coaster groupie. I'll follow Viper all over the country as it makes its way through SF's ride rotation program. :)

Nuh uh! They haven't added since Mamba.

Subtracted and replaced with smaller? Yes.

Added? No.

LOL, I rode OE, and my feeling is that virtually anything *rideable* woulda been an addition...;)

"Sir, I know Loch Ness Monster, and believe me, you're no Nessie"...:)

Gonch...if you start a happy-go-lucky Viper group somewhere out there on the internet, I swear I will post so many anti-Viper messages to that website, the site will have to be overwhelmed by traffic and shut down! ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Once again Playa you missed the point & the point was even though they lost OE they did add a new, smaller coaster in it's place.

Even though it's a mouse there are quite a few SF parks that....if given a similar offer would gladly accept it.

Wait...Worlds of Fun was offered Spinning Dragons? Golly, that's nice of Gerstlauer.
Hello, there boys and girls! Time for a great new game called Fun with Your Fingers. Wanna play? Oh, come on. It's eeeeeasy! You can even do it with one hand!

Ready? Allrighty then! Count each of your fingers one at a time! Don't forget your thummie!

1...2...3...4...5. Wasn't that fun? Wanna do that again? Wait, better not. Need to save some strength for the big finale.

Okay, let's say your pinkie is Zambezi Zinger. Hey, I'm going South of the Border! Down, down, down goes lil' pinkie.

Now let's say your ring finger is Orient Express. Oh no! I'm being twisted into scrap! Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch down we go! Johnny? Are you biting Suzy's finger? Do you need a time-out?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, here comes the hard part.

NOW let's say the ring finger is a Boomerang. Up, up, up we go! Those loud colors really show!

And your pinkie? Let's pretend that's spinning dragons. Wanna spin around while you raise your pinkie? Sure, you can do it...but only if you're reeeeeeeeally special.

All done? Good. Let's count our fingers again.

1...2...3...4...oh, my goodness! FIVE!

Wasn't that magical? Remember kids, don't try this at home by yourself. ONLY do this with your mommy or a non-Michael Jackson adult around.

Toodle-ooo!
