HUGE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!

Today I went to SFGA, took some pictures with my digital camera, then decided to go right up to the ride, no one was there. My camera ran out of batteries, but I took some with my regular camera. THE MYSTERY SUPPORT IS GONE!!!!

what it used to look like:

the new pic:

The rest of the digital distance pics are here, you can see more supports have gone up as well as some track on the lift:

I just dropped off my close up pics at one hour photo, I will post the new close ones tonight. I think we got ourselves a clone.

Ultimate Closeup Update:

As I mentioned before my digital camera ran out of batteries as I got near the coaster, so I had to use my backup disposable.

Here are the new pics:

Mystery support gone?

GONE

They are really coming along nicely. How tall is the lift hill rumored to be?

The top 3 all time cobrarolls.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

the mystery support isn't gone. if I'm correct, its the tallest support in the cluster of supports in this pic:

http://groups.msn.com/SFGAmSuperman/sfgamsuperman.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=14

also, it appears to be in the general area of where the pretzel loop will be if its a clone. I said it earlier in the thread and I'll say it again. it looks like the mystery support is similar to the support right after the pretzel loop just before the turn in this rendering:

I think there's no argument now that this is not a clone. the only question left is why are there still track and support pieces laying around the previous site of the mystery support?

The mystery support is moved, not gone, but you get my point. It definatly is not where it used to be, trust me, I WAS JUST THERE.

i was going to mention this earlier, but the mystery supported prob. was standing up because it was a "3-legged" support and couldn't be set on its side without risking damage due to the weith of the 3rd leg.

It looks as if they also moved a few other blue supports that were to the left of where the mystery support once stood. I guess they are slowly moving the track from the parking lot to the actual construction site?

When the Mystery support was in the parking lot, I wonder how it was kept in place? Because I seriously doubt they would of left a hole in the parking lot. (unless there ws no other way of doing it).

I don't think we're ever going to know why they stood it up all the way over there. laying it down shouldn't have been a problem, though. there was one three legged support from Shockwave that was laying on its side for a while.

so we got Holydumb's photos coming up. anyone else planning on making a trip anytime soon?

uh oh, sounds like someone has a case of the mondays.

What I meant is if they had to secure it by putting it into the ground, then they have some holes they have to fill.

I was responding to onceler, Cs6153. but you're right. if they put it in the ground, then they would either have holes where the picked out the footers or have footers standing in the parking spaces which means that it must have not been connected to the ground.

Oh, well. It fun thinking that it might not be clone while it lasted.

I dont know if it is gonna change at all sience yesterday so dont expect my pics to be that diffrent. I will try to get them online asap

All I have posted some new pics of the new supports in the center of the ride plus others - enjoy.

In this PIC it looks as if their will be track that is three abreast in the station:

http://groups.msn.com/SFGAmSuperman/sfgamsuperman.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=13

I wonder if this will be for loading, or if it also includes the offline maintance area. How many sections of track are in the supermans that are running, does anyone know??

Im just wondering something about the footers on both new superman's. Was looking at the on over at sfgadv. and the footers are small and square and the ones at sfgram are round cylinders. Does this have anything to do with how sfgadv took out the parking lot or not.
