SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

I have a request. Take a pic of the part where my photos showed bare wood. See if it's still there. I bet that all of the boards have been nailed up.

If Deja Vu did vallyed again , then is it a timely process to get things running well again or is it just pretty much re booting the system?
hey if we are lucky maybe they are planing on replacing the ride with something that works. all they have to do is send the ride to a park in a warmer climate and the problems will be fixed.

anyway back on topic what does everyone think of the station colors on s-uf? personaly i dont know what to think of them but i do like the windows for some reason.

p.s. contrary to popular belief i am not an idiot nor i am i a child.

Bad news, I just read a trip report from Advocate Health Day over at SFGAmWorld. Coasterdude has been renamed Heros and the little blue coaster is gone. Power Alley is gone but parts of Power Dive are still there.
Thats terrible news. This ride better be a great because they are taking away a lot of stuff.
I know this section better get something awesome cause they have been taking alot out Power DIve Power alley, Cajun Cliffhanger. I know there was an accedent on Cajun Cliffhanger and Power dive was a techincal nightmare but I wonder what there planing.

PS has anyone seen any pictures from yesterday

Maybe they aren't planning anything at all? They could have had things happen to those two rides that they didn't want to. Anyways, theres a resteraunt right there. how are they going to build anything there. I doubt they'll tear the resteraunt down too.
I think they are getting that area ready for some type of flat ride in 2004.

Carlo

Even though that restaurant is part of the Marriott era(and I dont like Marriott structures being removed), they really should just remove this restaurant and create a flat ride package in this area.

Oh, and I pulled into the lot today since they had another private event going and they were testing the heck out of S:UF. Both trains are on the circuit. As soon as one train would pull into the station , the other train was going up the hill. Cant wait to take flight on this thing.

Yeah, the station looked done. The landscaping around the ride did not.

Holydumb26. Everything structural wise looks complete. Its just part of the landscaping that needs to be done. That obviously is not going to delay the opening of the ride.

Hello everybody. This is my first post at Coasterbuzz, but I have been an daily visitor to the forums for awhile.

Chitown, what time were you at the park Sunday? I can't remember what time we pulled in, but we sat there for awhile and watched S:UF go through its test runs. My 18 month old daughter was in the back seat, and was watching, and pointing to it with a big grin on her face. All in due time I guess.

Anywho, I must admit, that S:UF is a sight to see when you first pull into the parking lot. In my opinion, it did not hurt Great America's skyline at all.

Only 5 days left.

welcome SFGAmnut I also think SMUF didnt hurt the skyline at all In fact I think It looks better.I loved shockwave but SMUF is easier on ther eyes than shockwave imo.

ahhhhhhh I cant wait to fly 4 days not counting today
