Don't Fight It, Ride It, RAGING BULL!!!!!!- Six Flags Great America

At least the made an open statement stating that the whole area will be "ENHANCED" to accent the ride. I can only hope they make this ride area spectacular.

UPDATE - I just wanted to give everyone an update on where we stand as of today 2/6/03.

The initial drop is shaping up nicely. The drop is about 1/3 complete. I have no pictures as it was too dark to take pictures as I passed the park. Looks like the drop may be finished tomorrow.

I think we may see quicker construction now since we are about 3 months away from opening, and it looks like the crane was no longer inside the American Eagle helix. (it was dark someone can correct me if i'm wrong).

Look for a pictoral update this weekend.

Later

That's cool we're right on schedule and it might even be done like way before opening. I can't wait to see some pics.

I was just wondering how Colonel Sanders is so sure that Six Flags is not going to say anything new. What else can you tell us about the future?

87 days!

BMCOASTER, thanks for all the great work you're doing updating us and taking new pics. Its really great. I have 2 questions. Have you seen any old track from Shockwave during one of your visits? I'm just wondering if its gonna be relocated in 2003 or if the track will just sit at Great America. Also, anyone who knows, I never knew, what are they doing to AE's helix?
They are retracking AE's helix (the red side). I don't believe the blue side is being retracked, but I'm not positive about that.

Shockwave is not being relocated for 2003. Maybe in '04, hopefully never. ;-)

I believe the track is still on site on the hill along the eastern side of the park.

I can confirm that the First drop is complete. From what I can see it looks like the track ends where the track begins to make its accent. Also There is still one piece of Shockwave and the staircase from the block brake right in front of the ride. No pictures as I was without camera. Maybe tomorrow.

It looks like construction has stared picking up again. Does anyone know what happed to the Big Pile of Dirt? Is it still there?
Yeah the pile of dirt is there. That pile of dirt might be actually used for landscaping. Well just have to wait and see.
