Ok i just have to say something most of you know about the press conference is being cancelled at SFGAM well if its because of the memorial it just dosnt make sense the conference was scheduled for 10 AM and the memorial is at noon so they could have easily finished the press conference went to the memorial and show the main part of the conference on the afternoon or nightly news I mean I understand that the Columbia Disaster memorial is more important than a coaster announcement but its not like in an hour of news theyre going to take the whole hour of the news cast to talk about the memorial they'll probably take 20-25 min. and in those other 35-40 they could easily talk about the announcement for 5-10 without the announcement being overshadowed (I dont want to start another riot like they did in the other post im just getting my thoughts out)

let it go. its not a big deal. the announcment will be a little late, that's it. that thread was closed, lets not have another closed, okay?

does anyone know when the announcement will be now? i know that no one knows for sure, but are we talking about a couple days or a week, etc?

The reason they changed it has less to do with the timing of the press conference compared to the Memorial Service than it does with SFGAm knowing that time in the local news broadcasts will be slim for "extraneous" filler stories, such as a new roller coaster.

I don't think anyone knows when the reschedualed one will be, but I would say within a week.

It will most likely be a clone, but who cares! What I wanna know is if this thing is gonna take up all of the Shock Wave spot, or if its gonna take up a small portion and have room for a small expansion.
