Top Three
1.X
2.Deja Vu
3.SFGAm's V2

It just confirms that it's called Superman: Ultimate Flight. It's just advertising the ride, not announcing it.

Man, I hope its not a clone!!

That leak is nothing we didn't know, does it say if it is a clone or not?

-----------------
If you haven't rode Raging Bull in the back row you haven't lived. The feeling on that first drop cannot be explained in words!

"for almost three minutes, riders sail through sharp dives, high banked curves and spirals uniquely designed to enhance this flying experience"

-How long are the ones operational now?? Is this longer or shorter? Do they have all these elements?

three minutes is most likely an exageration. notice, it says "almost." sharp dives? well there is one through the pretzel loop. I wouldn't consider the first drop sharp. high banked curves? yes. sprials? what is your defination of a sprial? there's a helix and an inline roll on the other two, but this is plural. its all for the GP. there's no specifics and a case for it being a clone or not a clone can't really be built either way.

We didn't know the name of it yet, but now we know that it'll officially be called Superman: Ultimate Flight.

Let me just throw my two cents on this. If someone at the park said yes to both it being a clone and it not being a clone I believe they could be going on the basis that the ride is indeed a clone but uses a different loading system than the Georgia ride. It has been rumored that this coaster and the one in New Jersey were not supposed to get the dual loading stations and if that is the case they are not technically clones per se but the ride itself is a clone.

I doubt they would squabble over something as meaningless as the station and I'm pretty sure they mean that the layout will be slightly different from the SFOG version, but you never know.

The layout at sfgadv's is slightly different. As you notice the turn after the pretzel loop dives earlier than the one in Georgia, and the last turn isn't near the groung, instead it's in the air and it goes through the lift hill supports. Thats the only two things that are really different, oh and 8 car trains.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

My opinion of the new coaster at SFGAm is; who cares if it's a clone? The designs of the other two S:UF look pretty awesome and I'll be excited to ride it at SFGAm. At the same time, GAm has always been knowing for creating the first of a kind coaster. (Iron Wold, first B&M, Batman, first inverted, Raging Bull, first hypertwister) Its kind of sad that they have started to get clones. (deja vu, V2, and now S:UF) Oh well, it will be awesome anyway.
Yeah I agree with Peanut Butter. I dont care if it is a clone its still gonna be fun and I am gonna ride it all season. I havent rode a Flyer yet and I CANT WAIT aaaaahhhhhhhh.LOL

I love IOA

I hope they keep the old Loading system it really added a nice excitement factor to the ride and the new system looks kinda dull

UPDATE

Folks just wanted to give everyone a midweek update. Drove by the park this morning and didn't notice any changes in the construction since Saturday. No I couldn't see the interior part of the ride but No additional track or supports have been put in place. Perhaps by Saturday more will completed. Funny thing is that this is the same thing that happened last week. Not much construction going on until the end of the week.

Last week Thursday nothing new. Saturday afternoon, 2 new lift supports and additional pretzel loop supports plus lift track going up. Looks as if they may be splitting time with other projects around the park during the beginning of the week and go all out on Thursday/Friday on Superman.

Later

Hmm, that is kinda strange. But yeah, its possible they could be doing other things in the park, hopefully re-building ERC and maybe building some new flats. I could be wrong though. We won't know until February 4.
I think v2 and deja vu are very fun. I don't care about clones though. I'll ride anything. Yeah too bad they haven't got any custom rides lately.

I don't know what the big hang up is over being a clone, or real close to a clone. I would be willing to bet the modifications, if any, would be minimal. From a business standpoint, it just makes sense.

On the lighter side, my two daughters had an Irish Dance competition in milwaukee over the weekend. (I am still kicking myself for forgetting both the camcorder and the digital cam). This meant driving right by SFGAm. The funny thing was I mentioned to my wife that I wanted to stop and see the progress of the new coaster, and the wife thought I was kinda silly..... The irony is that my daughter needed to use the bathroom just 5 miles before the Grand Ave exit! I took the opportunity to take a look at the construction..... I couldn't believe it but the yellow gates were open on the exit side.... are they open most days or was I just lucky? Now I have seen alot of the pics and posts before, but nothing, absolutley nothing could compare to being there. I was there for just a few minutes and it was so exciting to see it in person. The whole family agreed we couldn't wait for the season to begin again!

The supports are up and you can just picture the track... it is making me more and more anxious as the completion approaches. Can't wait to ride Superman, clone or not!

I am a father of three but I am still just a kid at heart!
