SFGAdv Invitation Scan, DEFINITELY WORLD RECORD

I agree. I have a good feeling its just gonna barely break the record, but ya never know.
I guess we can say goodbye to the DUELING rocket coaster, now THAT would be something to see, especially if it had an awesome theme, they should have done it with Dragster :(

T.O.?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

If he 'now' plays in Philly its either him or Jevon Kearse.

How about the 270 twist on the way up and the 90 on the way down?

That'd be fun.

Perhaps another way to mix it up (as much as you can mix L-TH-B) would be to go over the top-hat from left to right vs right to left?

Essentially, tack on a few feet and a couple of mph to TTD then switch the launch & brake sides and run counterclockwise instead of clockwise.

Just some fun speculation on how to make the L-TH-B a little 'different" :)

I'd suggest an inverting Top Hat element but the park already has one of those on The Chiller. I like the idea of a spiral on the way up and a straight drop (like the first drop on Hershey's Stormrunner) on the way down. Why not a big version of Xcelerator's first hill?
Assuming Keith is his usual dead-on self, I think Gonch has it there. Check out the way the car is oriented in that promo - there's an elongated "nose" aimed upwards in the spiral. I totally overlooked that it was aimed upwards the first time I looked.

Neat idea, but not enough to make me make a special trip. It's kinda like saying "hey, we're building a boomerang that's 120' instead of 110'!" Same trick, new location, no rush. Then again, I might end up getting the credit the first week anyway as Hydra's enough to get me to drop the cash for hotels ;)

A 120' Boomerange? Where?

I am SO there.

I was thinking the same thing, as far as it doing the 270 up the lift, but do you think that would cause more rollbacks? It seems as though that would cause more friction for some reason, but its possible I just have a backwards train of thought. (no pun intended)

I dont care if they have an inverted top hat or not, it'd be AMAZING to be dangling upside down at 400+ feet. (but probably a bit too intense for most folk) *** Edited 9/22/2004 6:22:22 PM UTC by slowmotion***

How about an inline twist 450' up in the air?

HAH, L-TH-B's are the new boomerang.

I thought Impulses were the new Boomerangs?

Gonch - based on the site work, it looks like it'll run counter clockwise. The big station sized dirt patch is in the same relative place as TTD's anyway.

Is it bad that I'm annoyed by the typo on the announcment? Anyone else see it?

Yep...we have to have every photo we use approved by the parks first. It's in the fine print of every admissions ticket and season pass: photos taken on property cannot be used for commercial use without permission.

Damn.

"A historic" is gramatically incorrect. "An historic" is correct.

D'oh!
