SF St. Louis - Anything going on??

What do you think that that means? (the construction vechicles)

Do you bleed Blue?

From what I have seen (not what I have heard) there is deffinatly land clearing going on over on the parks east side (the actual park not the other half of the SF owned propertie). I do not belive this clearing to be for a new ride or area. Rather I believe they are in a process of moving the "graveyard" over to make room for some thing by tidal wave ;)

HaHa... I felt that coming up some time.
You guys need to start building to catch up with the dos Ozarks parks. ;)

I don't know I think they should take their time moving the graveyard - they seem to be flying too fast through this job. I think it would be super if they did put a new ride there, but man I have a feeling that it will be another year before we see our next coaster. ;)

What? I dont get it it. Was I suppose to gather something from the bold face words. lol Well my personal prediction is, and this is me throwing out all logic and knowledge I have. Is that it will be two years before we see our next coaster. I say this for the simple fact that so long as I work there, there will be no new coaster. Its a curse (or maybe a gift), but I bet there will be no new coaster for two years (or intill they catch me stealing from the till). ;)

p.s Two years is the number of years I belive I have left at the park. Gotta pay for collage some how. :)

Nope, you weren't supposed to gather anything from the bold words. :) I honestly think that the next coaster will be in two years as well. For one thing, I think SFStL is watching what WOF and SDC/CC will do in the next two years. It almost seems as if a coaster arms war has begun in MO. SDC/CC have two newer coasters than both WOF & SFStL - I think the next two years will be interesting years at all four parks.

Not to mention, SDC MAY be getting a woodie in 2005. And CC is getting a new ride next year (ride, not coaster, sadly)

Well as many of you may have seen as have I reported. There had appeared to be some land clearing in the far grave yard, visible from SE. Well the pile of chipped wood is from what I have gathered scrap wood and The Great Escape Arcade. And there is no land clearing.

Wow this thread has been dead... This thread was one of the reasons why I liked Coasterbuzz so much...

Any word on how SFSL is doing this year.. The 3 or 4 times that I have been there it has been crowded... Any news or rumors going around the park...

Lets get this thread going again.. Its bad enought SFSL doesn't get mentioned in the big circles..

I haven't been since June. I usually go 2-3 times in October to get me last rides in. Nothing like a brick fall breeze and all the trees in full color to improve a ride.

Welp the park has been dead and I dont beleave it has made it above the red line yet. I could be wrong on this but it seems corprate was not happy with SFSTL some months ago. And they did cancel country fair.

As far as next year goes, there will probly be nothing major new. Well actully I would be willign to bet on it. But I would not look to see anythign major happen to the park in the next three years except maybe it being sold.

Most SF parks have no idea what they will get next season and Six Flags St. Louis is included. The chances of anything major being added next year are not very good.

The one thing that is for sure is the McDonald's inside the park is gone for good. The park wants it to become a Mooseburger Lodge (SFGAm. and SFMM have one), but getting a full-service restaurant is not even a sure thing.

I just have to say I had a VERY good day at SFStL on July 4th this summer...Great park!

Nashville needs a theme park!

If anyone cares. Two crates of "7 lap bars" have arrived at the park, along with some other parts. No its not for a new ride, but i aint sure which ride it goes to.

I see that the rumor has spread over there as well. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. I'm willing to bet that good ole AB might buy the park. They have been wanting a park there for awhile, 'specially since Home Office is located there in town.

I just don't get it... SFSL can not be loosing all of this money... And you can not tell me that SFSL is doing any worse than any of the other parks... I have noticed over the last couple of years how crowded the park has come. I know there for a while except for the newer rides you could almost get on any ride right away... The last 2 summers I have had to wait in line for almost any ride I get in line for including the scrambler or whatever they are calling it nowadays... What is different than any other year... SFSL has the ability to be a bigger park with the land that own... You can not tell me that Six Flags is loosing that much money on SFSL...

As far as Country Fair I am not sure that they are loosing that much. Fright Fest is there big winner....

What in your guys opionion would it take if SFSL is down to get it back up again... Wasn't SFSL one of only 3 or 4 parks last year to be up in attendance... If you could do anything to fix the park what would it be? New coaster? New Flat rides? 2nd phase of Hurricane Harbor? Face lift for the park as far as buildings?

I'm surprised to hear that SF:StL would be in trouble. I know I had a great time there when I visited earlier this summer, and actually thought it was one of the nicer SF parks I've been to. They have nice coasters, a good collection of flats, and it is a very pretty park as well.

On the other hand, I really think the Busch Gardens parks are great, and certainly wouldn't mind seeing AB buy SF:StL and make it Busch Gardens: St. Louis. The park could only go up with that move. Whatever happens, I hope it's positive, as I really liked the park.

Take care and God bless! :)

Wow you don't know how much I would LOVE that to happen! Gosh if SF. St.louis were to be bought by AB the park would do a full 360! But seriously I doubt that would happen. Honestly how often does Six Flags go around selling their parks? I haven't known them to do that much but I guess its always possible. I really think SF. St.louis would do alot better if they would just advertise more! But fact is the next few years at all Six Flags Parks are going to be slow with very few additions. Six Flags Inc. isn't doing well and we all know that. So if anyone gets a coaster it will be SFMM & SFGAD like it always is! I'm just happy we have SDC/CC and WOF! They are at least doing something!
