Serious accident at Michigan's Adventure
I was just watching t.v. and there was a preview for the news, it said there was a serious accident at Michigan's Adventure today on the Chaos ride, anybody else heard anything about it?

Yea, I just got informed that ferris wheel collapsed...hundreds injured and some deaths. Oh my, this is horrible, I was there just yesterday riding it. Calling in trucks that can lift 100 lbs. This is what I heard from the fire station. Please give out your prayers to the victims.

The ferris wheel? hmmm...they said Chaos on the news, maybe a mix-up? I hope nothing worth closing the park down, i'm going in 2 weeks!

Sorry guys, someone from the fire station said ferris wheel...It is chaos. The arm came off the mount and colapsed on its side...serious injuries...2 life threatening.

Hmmmm if it is indeed the Choas, then this is one of three in the Cedar Fair chain, I wonder if they will close the ones at CP and VF.
I posted the site to news but it said it would take 3 days to put it on this site! I thought it would put it on now, anyway the news site said riders are trapped beneath the ride and serious injuries.

I can't find another news site, but the t.v. just came on with breaking news and said 36 people on ride at time, ride collapsed and there are some life threatening injuries.

It also stated that they had to airlift two people to the hospital. The odd thing is the picture they shows you could still see people riding Shivering Timbers in the background. I guess they dont close the park down, although it might be a good idea. I hope everyone is ok. Man, it seems like there are alot of accidents this year.
OMG, I am speechless. This is really horrible, I hope everyone is alright.

Side note on the Chaos...the wife and bro-in-law were stuck on the Chaos at CP on opening day. It was the second ride for them of the day(arrived for rope drop in the morning), so I'm chalking that one up to first day mishaps.
Late breaking on the news...2 serious being airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids. The ride collapsed because the center bearing had failed on the ride. The pictures on TV looks as if they have gotten the main disk of the ride pulled up enough and stabilized and they are removing more riders. There were 26 total on at the time of the incident.

Ok, Sorry that this only happened about 1 hour ago, and that there is no movie out about it yet. There are people out there that are still stuck, and 2 that are seriously injured. Is that all you have to say? I can't believe you.

Another live report, rest of Michigan's Adventure keeps going while Chaos is still being stabalized, 2 level 1(bad)injuries, 3 level 2(medium-bad)injuries, and many level 3 and 4 injuries, people still trapped on top of ride.
