Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the side and under wheels are spring loaded (or whatever it is) against the track on Iron Wolf, and other early B&Ms like Vortex (PGA) and Kumba. I think that's why it doesn't deliver the same smoothness that other B&Ms do. Most B&Ms, along with other coasters like recent Intamins have every wheel in contact with the track at all times I believe. While at PGA recently I noticed that not all the wheels on Vortex were in contact with the rails.
Can anyone confirm this?

I'm fairly certain that B&M trains have always made solid contact with the rails. I didn't see anything different about the trains outside of the restraints.
As I've said before, I don't think Iron Wolf is rough in the way it tracks, it just makes very quick changes in direction.

Psyclone and flashback and maybe revolution at sfmm
Iron Wolf is B&M's first coaster ever. Batman at the same park is their second I beleive.

Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm.
Python at BGT and Hercules at Dorney Park.

If you rode hercules at dorney at the end of this season, it would get your vote. I honestly feared i could be seriously injured after limping off the ride.

I'm 2 for 2 so far!!!
I would have to give Manhattan Express my roughness vote. Then runner up would be Desperado.
I give Magnum the vote for the most painful ride - but only when your stapled! Any Intamin hypercoaster gets a very close second with those bloody crotch-contouring lapbars. The most painful experience on a ride was when Jason (mf ride op) literally stood on my lapbar, cause I had the day off (2nd to last sunday of the season.). Magnum can literally leave bruises in any and all seats if you are stapled.

Come to Europe, go to France and visit Parc Asterix.
They have the best wooden coaster in the world: "Tonnerre de Zeus" (wich means Tunder of Zeus).
But they also have the roughest steel-coaster in the world: "Goudurix"
It's a Vekoma 7-Looper...but ohh sooo rough -> AUUGHHH

You kids don't get out enough. I've ridden all those coasters and their mild bumps. None of them can compare to the neck breaking action of the Grizzly at PGA. It's true Hercules is rough in the back. That's why nobody rides in the back. My recommendation is, don't ride in the back. And avoid the Grizzly at all costs.
No one here has been on Hercules at Dorney park recently. The ride is a constant pounding from start to finish. The shame here is when the ride opened it was smooth with a lot of air time and a great coaster. Too bad Ceadar Fair and Dorney have chose not to maintain this ride and keep it at the original level. Wooden coasters don't have to get rougher as they get older all it takes is some tlc by the parks. Considering the investment and the fact that at one time Hercules was at the top of the coaster world it is a shame to have it degraded to it's present condition.
ok i dont know why everyone is saying mean streak is a rough ride!? what u ohioans never leave ohio! sorry to say! there is much worse coasters out in the coaster worlds here is my top ten list of the roughest coasters i have ever rode! 1.eveolution in macic mountain! 2.coney island cyclone so rough when i rode it in july a girl sitting in front of me about age 9 hit her face on the lap bar and broke her front teeth! 3.batman and robin the chiller batman side is more servear! 4.Viper sfga u bang ur jaw and neck and get brused shoulders for a week! 5.thunderhauk at dorney park! u get brused legs for a week! ever since they but the new lap bars around 1999. 6.mantis at cedarpoint becuase the unconfertabel seat hurts if u dont stand proper! and its gives u a bit of a head bang! onestly i couldent controll it!,7.the great american scream machine sfga i am a exspert on that coaster i know all the truns! so i dont really hit my head and in 1999 they but a trim brake after the first loop so u slow down! and it seems that the turn into the second loops was banked to the side more. but the harnets on the coaster are harabel! the metal was braking trou on mine. and a few other seats! i rode in. 8.blue streak i thought they really needed to loose the head rest becuase head rest with a old woodie and fast buny hops dont make a good combo! ( u hit ur head on the head rest if ur not carfull) 9.sea serpant in wildwood nj its a 13 or 14 year old boomarang need me say no more! and 10. son of beast wich should actaly be next to the coney island cycloen but im to lazy yo go back and fix my mistake! so but this one at #8 and but #8 in this spot
I live in Ohio, and I do get to other states and ride coasters.I would say that "ohioans" are the experts when it come to judging coasters because the best ones are all here!
Those WiLd MoUsE coasters will getcha.....haha
I am surprised nobody said Serial Thriller at SFO(SFWoA). And the Meanstreak I would have to say is the smoothest wooden coaster I have ever been on. The worst steel is Serial Thriller at SFO(SFWoA), the worst wooden is the Beast at PKI. I still love both of those rides but they are very rough. The only reason I like meanstreak is because of its height and its smoothness. Magnum is only painful on the bunny hops before returning to the station. Magnum isn't rough its just the air time raises you off your seat.

Mean Streak... smooth?! Bah. Of all the wooden coasters I've ridden, Mean Streak would be the roughest. The smoothest wooden coaster I have ever been on was Gwazi at BGT.
I agree with you Go Full Force, Mean Streak was also one of the smoothest woodies I've ridden.

My vote has to go to Manhatten Express is the roughest ever. Its a good ride if they bring the restaints all the way down.
My vote goes to SoB...it was a very rough ride
