Roughest Ride?

Ditto.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
The Racer is not rough. I would say that SOn of Beast is rougher than The Racer, even King Cobra is rougher than the Racer.
HEY again, all of the following people said positive comments about MS and I think they are finally realizing that its not so bad:

Coaster Dude
Lynch
Geicu
I'm not finally realizing it, it was my first time to CP, and I had always had a feeling that it wasn't as bad as everyone said.

AIM SN-Coasterman17
the roughest has to be Riverside Cyclone at SFNE or MIndearaser at SFNE
I'm saying Mean Streak. It was far rougher than SoB for me before the train had reached the lifthill... BTW, SOB Lover, isn't the TLC thing a Terry Lee Cheverolet catch-phrase?

Really I found this coaster to be smooth, but too short, you gotta love that drop, (anyone who's ridden knows what drop I'm talking about)

It's all here in Sandusky Ohio
Although I said I didn't think MS was rough, I still think that the ride is very poor, slow and not one good drop on the whole thing.

Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm. *** This post was edited by geicu on 1/31/2001. ***

mine would have to be the serial thriller at 6 flags ohio for some reason i always ride it and after every time i have a major headache and have to make a visit to the urinal

Summer (and coaster season) could not come any quicker

Although I enjoy Wolverine Wildcat, it has not been maintained and is rough. Last time we rode it in the back seat, the seat cushion was literally disconnected by the time we got back into the station.

The Beast and SOB are the roughest coasters I've ever been on, especially in the helices. I had some head-banging action on Vortex too.
I'd have to say the roughest i've ever been on was Z-Force at SFGAm (now it's Flashback at SFMM). When I went to CP Mean Streak was rough, but it wasn't any rougher than Magnum. Mean Streak was a little better than I was expecting and Magnum was a LOT worse in terms of roughness.

I rode mean streak and i didn't think it was bad, a little slow yes but not rough. Iron wolf in six flags great america is the roughest ride i have ever been on.
My vote would have to go to the Mean Streak at CP. All that I am saying is don't ride in the last seat. It hurt to breathe after that particular ride.

Come to think about it, Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens wasn't exactly smooth either. Ride it 5 times in a row, get one heck of a headache. *** This post was edited by tails on 1/31/2001. ***
I'd have to say Magnum. I only rode it once, and apparently it had troubles with it's trains this season, so I'll give it another chance next season, but it still gets my vote. Suprisingly enough, I didn't think Mean Streak was rough. Not to say it was a good ride though, it was quite boring.

I think the roughest ride is... IRON WOLF at SFGA. I don't think B&M knew what they were doing making that ride. A REAL headbanger, and an ok ride.
My experience with Mean Streak at CP is that if you sit in the front seat of a car, the ride is reasonably smooth, but if you sit in the back seat of a car, it is very rough. Perhaps this explains the conflicting opinions on this ride. I've ridden MS many many times, but I haven't really noticed any differences among the trains.
I don't understand why people think MS is so rough. The real problem with MS is the that the braking renders the last leg of the ride a total and excruciating bore.

PKI's Beast is much, much rougher IMHO. CBaby and I rode MS late in the season (Labor Day) and it only gave her a slight headache. We rode the Beast in early June (URC II ERT) and it pounded her to a pulp. First, she was holding her head. We moved to seats closer to the front. Next she was holding her arm. Then she said she needed to go see a doctor.

But even though it smacked her around, it was at least INTERESTING from start to finish. It knocked her silly, but she refused to stop riding....which is more than I can say for the slowed-down MS.

PS - I rode OLFOF close to the front and found it rough, but tolerable. CBaby was too short to try it. *** This post was edited by CoastaPlaya on 2/1/2001. ***
I've still only been to the Mountain, so I don't have alot to choose from, but, from there, I'd go with Psyclone. Like Saviourmachine, however, I really wasn't bothered by the roughness; it's still one of my favorites.

I don't think Iron Wolf is a case of B&M not knowing what their are doing, but a case of aging horribly, this ride used to have no headbanging, but know it is full of headbanging. On a side note I used to love this ride when it had no headbanging, it is full of tight turns it has awesome transitions. I once rode this ride 7 times without ever leaving the seat i was in, but now you ride it twice and get a headache.

Yeah, I know I use to love this ride too. If I am correct I believe this was the first B&M stand up coaster. So, don't believe this coaster was flawless. I think this coaster though is more nauseating than any other ride at SFGAm. *** This post was edited by ScorcherCongo on 2/1/2001. ***
