The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.
The Flying Fish at Thorpe Park....the name says it all. :-)
X No Way Out appears to be universally derided too, but I've not riden that one, so will reserve judgement.
I agree Scorpion at BGT should stay: It's old and short, but stilll good fun! Whereas Pyton is old and short and not fun.

Thats an easy one! To build an even bigger record breaker! I'd sooner see old Hercules reprofiled to make up for it's sluggish speed and the final turnaround removed so it could drop down the hillside again for a second big drop halfway thru the ride. Thats asking alot though.

#1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!! My top 7 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Montu 3. Yankee Cannonball 4. Kumba 5. Gwazi 6. Cyclone (SFNE) 7. B:DK
I do, however, see the reasoning for it, and commend the CP management for trying to keep it as close to the original as possible without having to rebuild it every night...
And Iron Wolf is a good layout, with bad restraints.... perhaps Floorless trains? ;)

Brett's right Crashmando. Mean Streak certainly looks thrilling, but the ride is a bumpy, slow, bore anymore. The first half of the coaster was so fast and unique when the ride was new, although the second half always was, and still is a bore. My problem is that Curtis Summers didn't design good thrilling rides period. His hill profiles are all wrong. He did come close a couple of times, but most of his rides are crap.Do you recall hearing the expression the "Dinn shuffle"? well that's the biggest misnomer of them all. We should be calling it the "Summers' shuffle" instead. Charlie was a track man/ builder from way back, and I have an article in my files about how he didn't always agree with Curt's structural designs. That's part of the reason Curt's rides tracked fine for the first year or two, then went to pot. Charlie built good track, but the design for the support structure was bad. That's partly why most of the Summers' designs sport additional brakes in places like the first drop.
Hope that answers some of your questions though.

Agree.

Yeah the rollover radius on most of his rides is weak. The other big issue with his design and the MS is the fact that he bridged the bottom of the first drop overtop of another track. The coaster always jack-hammered crossing that bridge. It was never smooth there. Also, why did it have to be trimmed for the second half? that is some of the flattest, most boring run of hills he ever designed. "Lets build track that's over 100 feet in the air and valley it 5-10 feet above the ground." He did that on most of his rides. John Miller would of failed him in coaster design 101 for that alone. It is sad though that Curtis passed away late in 1991 after he designed the ride. I don't hate the man, just his coaster designs.
I also find it interesting that Denise got into the business her father started. Her company built some of the best rides dynamically, that we've seen since the 1920's. Charlie was even working with her at the time. I remember meeting and talking with him briefly on a construction site several years ago. I don't have all the facts though, so I could be wrong on a couple of details here. But, the pieces do fit together well.

Your giving the man responsible for the Beast a "D?" Ya, ok.

"You know its a good ride when you come into the final brake run wiping tears from your eyes."
Vortex at PKI? God, that coaster has no headbanging, it's intense, the batwing is sick, and hangin in those corkscrews rules.
All Shuttle loopers? Shwartzkoph and Arrow's Rock , and that would get rid of Mr. Freeze , Batman and Robin:The Chiller,Vekoma inverted Boomerangs, and , God , Superman: The Escape(fun).
Rock-And-Rollercoaster? That ride is thrilling enough , and it's really about the whole experience. Also , from people I know , I have never heard a bad word about that coaster.
Top Thrill Dragster? JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!!!!!! That isn't even right to say. It's like a bad word.
There , now I've said it.

Bodysurfing. More Fun than any coaster!
CP - Disaster Transport, Mean Streak
Mean Streak could be "salvagable" if they got the right people in to fix it. I liked DT as Avalanche Run better.
SFWoA - Raging Wolf Bobs, Double Loop
DL would make a nice addition for a smaller park. RWB would still be lackluster when all the retracking gets done.
PKI - Adventure Express, Top Gun
I forget AE is even there as it is so well hidden and Top Gun doesn't seem to get many riders anymore.
X Factor
You guys are amazing.

A lot of you "enthusiasts" are quite shallow when it comes to roller coasters. If you're going to be so picky, atleast don't just go listing roller coasters that you just want torn down. You guys are amazing.
------------------
It's not "tear 'em down and get rid of 'em"...it's tear 'em down and replace them with something better. A lot of parks are built out and don't have room for anything new unless something old is torn down.------------------
