Viper and Rolling Thunder at Great Adventure.

If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
Here is my list in order of top 7 rides I'd remove.

1>Hurclues DP,2. Viper SFGA, 3.GASM SFGA,4.Corkscrew CP,5.Iron Dragon CP, 6.Mind Eraser SFA,7.Any shuttle boomerang.
I ridden all these coaster and most are rough or rather borning. There is one coaster out there that is rather new but one of the roughest I have ever been on SOB at PKI is extremely rough. I wouldn't remove it but I do something to fix it, that is painful! Someone mention all Arrow Multi-loopers. I have to disagree, Lochness is still a classic ride. I love it and it maybe have a few rough spots it still one of my favorites!
------------------
Alpengeist,Beast,Hulk,MeanStreak,Nitro

I'm not going to say any rides but the Waynes World themeing at PKD and PCW is WAAAAY past the expiration date. The last movie was 10 years ago or so and I don't think there is a demand for a new one anytime soon.

I actually thought that area was meant to be rethemed every few years anyway.

Sorry everyone, that wasn't me who wrote that junk. I apologize for it, and I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Now is that Gay as in happy or gay in homosexual gay! Hmmm!! This topic I think was created in most part for people to list coaster they think should be removed to make way for something new and better. To expand out roots and make the next generations of coasters. As for us being Gay I think thats Gay for saying we are gay. Its really gay when you say someone is gay when you don't know if they are gay or not. How gay can you be! GAYHEAD!
------------------
Alpengeist,Beast,Hulk,MeanStreak,Nitro
Wow Crashmando, tone it down a little. Holy crap...

------------------
Whenever you can ride a roller coaster and experience 15 spots of intense airtime, you know you're on a good coaster. (see: Phoenix)

So basically what I'm saying is Intamin Fan was right. You guys are for the most part gay. This entire hobby has gotten really gay, and I don't like it anymore.

screw all you all

FIRST of all....I don't know where you come off saying "screw you all....You're all gay....blah blah yadda yadda..." crap, I don't agree with any coaster being torn down. I think if a coaster gets the attention it deserves, it can become a great ride. And speaking of gay, you may want to come out of your slackjawed yokel, I'm a homophobe cause I've got my own issues, backwoods swamp of a $#it hole and realize that when you call something gay, you are being a biggot, and being prejudice. That isn't a defamatory remark anymore. Besides, there are quite a few "gay" men and women on this site that will gladly come out and tell you.

Next, don't go bashing a group of people because of some of the members beliefes. This also is Biggotry and Prejudice. If you don't like this as a hobby, go find something else, no one around here will miss you AT ALL.

Finally, Everyone is entitled to an opinion, which is what the basis of conversation is, which, btw, is the purpose of a forum. If you don't agree, say so, but being rude for no reason will just get people mad at you, which dosen't matter, cause I smell the Troll just rolling off ya.

lata, clint- who is now finished ranting.

Hi all,

A couple of points:

I instigated this topic because I thought it would be a bit of a giggle and also prompt a lively debate....which it seems to be. However, lets keep it friendly people! It doesn't matter whether people agree with your choices or not, and no-body thinks that themeparks are going to act on the basis of this forum, but it's an interesting topic none-the-less.

ophthodoc- I wouldn't go so far as to tear the Big One down. I'd keep the drop, but I'm afriad that the rest of that ride was incredibly dissapointing. A hyper coaster with no air-time and uninteresting elements is a poor show. They didn't even take advantage of the tight fit and incorporate more head-choppers into the ride. Its as if they were just content to make it higher than Magnum XLX and leave it at that.

I'm not criticising 'It's a Small World' as a thrill ride, that would be daft. I like a good senic ride as much as the next person. But that ride is just torture: it's been a year since I was last dragged on it and I can still hear that blommin tune..The Horror....horror! I wanted to stick my fingers in my ears and hum a tune as loud as I could to block it out, but can anyone guess what the only tune I could think of was?? :-0 As far as I can make out, people only use that ride because of the rather good air conditioning system which provides us Brits with a respite from the hot Florida sun. However, last time I was there I saw people running out of the building shouting: "I'll sustain the 3rd degree burns...it's less horrid than that ride". :-)

All the best.

The rides that really need to go are at Paramounts Great America. The rides are: Vortex, Stealth, and Grizzly. These rides are too bumpy, and have no excitement. Its pretty pathetic that a new rollercoaster like Stealth is really bumpy, lacks speed, and is not very exciting. But I did hear rumor that Stealth will be taken out and moved to another park.
Oh BeyondOblivion I agree with you on the Rock n Rollercoaster. The most over-rated coaster ever built. A great launch and first inversion followed by the most boring mundane layout ever created with a token corkscrew thrown in for good measure.

And don't come out with the fact that Disney don't create inetnse thrill rides and a launch from 0-80mph in 2 odd seconds is pretty intense and just because it isn't a "thrill" ride doesnt mean it has to have such a crap rough layout. Air is suppose to be an expierence more than a thrill coaster but that's still got a very unique layout.

Aflack: YAY someone finally agrees with me about R&RC. *The crowd goes wild* If they'd have put as much thought into the layout as the concept, (which is quite neat) it would have been a good ride....alas.

I also agree that the argument that Disney doesn't do thrill rides is untennable; they may specialise in less intense, more senic experiences, but when the imagineers get their teeth into a thrill ride, they can produce spectacular results. I don't mind admitting that Twlight Tower of Terror gave me a real jolt....I loved that ride; everyone screamed their heads off during the ride, but came off it laughing their heads off and went straight back around for another go! Disney's finest moment, in my opinion. I'll admit that I still think Space mountain is still a bit special too.

Regards.

Space Mountain was a nice ride, it was a lot of fun, a lot more fun than the one in Paris. The one in Paris has probably the most spectacular theming I have ever seen but is let down by the worst roughest coaster I've ever been on. The one in Florida was pretty good I'll be gutted though when they re-do it because no-doubt it will look amazing given 5 years maybe less it will ride like a dog if they stick a crappy Vekoma in there.

IMO a mauhre custom spinning mouse in there would be great, they could have 3 different tracks bringing capacity up to 2700pph and you would have an amazing attraction. But they won't do that will they.

I think if they reprofile Mean Streak it would be fine. They should make all the drops on MS more intence, which would give MS a little more air time.
As long as they reprofile it with the world's tallest, fastest wood chipper...
My List:

SF Great Adventure: Viper, Rolling Thunder, B&R: The Chiller

SF New England: Mind Eraser

Great Escape: Alpine Bobsled, Nightmare at Crackaxle and Cobra (not really a coaster but has been closed forever and is taking up space)

Cedar Point: Disaster Transport

SF Great America: Iron Wolf

If by "reprofile" you mean take a couple tubs of gasoline and the world's largest match right in the center of it, then I agree with you.
