Renegade opening??

I will get my n/a rita, a chi-dog at Nathan's and just hang out by the loading staition until it opens. If it is open...forget the margarita!

For those on the calender for opening day, should we arrange a time and place to meet and get a run in as a group?

And let's not forget Race for the Cure Sunday either. If you haven't donated anything for it yet, think it over. It's a great cause...

But ERT? I have my doubts. This is one of those rides people will keep getting back in line for, if you ask me. If there's only a hundred people in the park, betcha 60 of them will be in line.

I doubt I'll get there until after noon myself. But I'd love to meet up, especially since I'll be driving up solo.

I spoke with a marketing rep today who confirmed Renegade will be open Saturday. We were out there today and wandered back through the picnic grounds and watched it testing with passengers in the front row, water dummies in the rest.

Media Day will be next week, so this weekend should be light crowds.

Can't wait!

I just got back from getting my pass processed. Something interesting I learned was that you can get the MAX PASS upgrade at any point in the season as long as you do it at your home park. It was a manager called in to fix a malfunctioning printer that said that so I am sure that is accurate at least for VF. When exactly will Media Day be?

I wasn't talking about an ERT. I figured since we will all be there, we can meet somewhere and get in line for the same train. Thats all.

I propose to meet in the covered bridge at 2:00. I will have my gravy stained ACE hat on.

Other suggestions? Aside from the hat.:P

Does anybody think Saturday will get croweded? Will there be a 2 hour wait for Renegade despite the possible rain?

If so, I bet the line will start down by Mild Thing and Trapeeze.

We have to wait for ERT at Coaster Craze end of June.

I was the one that posted it will be like ERT since I expect the crowds to be light, especially on Sunday. My roommate said she wants to come on Sat with me so I will be the guy in a coaster shirt with the tiny loud asian woman...assuming she does not change her mind which she will several times between now and then. And of course I suggest we meet anytime at Renegade since that is where I will be. Actually I may have to do other parts of the park too since I am bringing someone but that is certainly where I will be on Sunday. ;)

Some people from GCI rode it and said it had a lot of airtime, and it was better than thunderhead! Wow! It must be on great coaster!

A number of 'people from GCI' speak for themselves here...so putting words in their mouths? Uh, NOT a good idea.

I think we have to decide for ourselves if it is better than Thunderhead, but I do trust them about the airtime. The info is from a post on another board. We will see this Saturday. If this is better than Thunderhead...wow, just wow.

Wicked. I'm most excited for the drop, and the airtime.

Alvey posted last night that he likes it better than Thunderhead. This is going to be one sweet ride. :)

My daughter and I will be at the park on Saturday. I'd love to meet up with people from CoasterBuzz. Where and when? I'll be wearing a white "Dive Cozumel" shirt with a red scuba diver's flag on the back.

So far I have Raven TTD wearing a coaster shirt and possibly with a "loud asian woman", and sws with daughter and wearing scuba dive flag on shirt back.

I can assume Acoustic Viscosity will be there later in the afternoon (driving all the way up from IA). I'll look for a Cubbies hat. Or he can go by our descriptions.

Once again for me: Green bucket hat with an ACE patch slapped on.

2:00 at the covered bridge. I think its the only one on the way to HR.
