Q Funding files letter from Falfas' attorney indicating he did not resign from Cedar Fair

Posted | Contributed by Jerry

Q Funding has filed another statement with the SEC to dispute Cedar Fair's recent filing indicating that former COO Jack Falfas resigned last summer. Q previously questioned the circumstances of his departure, and the new filing includes a letter, allegedly from Faflas' attorney, indicating he did not resign. The letter says:

"Please be informed, that Mr. Falfas denies that he has resigned, but instead states that his employment was terminated without cause.

View the filing from the Security and Exchanges Commission.

Yes - you are correct - thank you for that sobering reality check... I'm going to quell that thought in some spiked egg nog. Happy Holidays folks - no matter what your persuasion is.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

I know I'm a bit late to the game here. But, this wasn't surprising to me at all. There's a one liner I use occasionally when things blow up in peoples faces. When the RSS update posted to my phone, I thought of this...

I'm a little disturbed by the typo in the letter. "It is Mr. Falfas' understanding that said entites have taken the position and Mr. Falfas has resigned his employment with said entities." Shouldn't the and be a that? Pretty significant typo for an attorney.

AND they spelled entities wrong. tsk tsk tsk.

Hmmm I think you should talk less about politics and more about Rollercoaster/themepark items... I hate scrolling past your posts to get to the true substance that is on this board...

Yeah, that's kind of a stretch talking about 'political' gaffes after one or two comments when the conversation went back on topic. Everyone here is talking about the topic at hand, we really don't need this one to turn into a political discussion. Falfas getting canned is topic enough.

I typed a post saying just about the same thing, Jerry and Tek, but I didn't know how popular that opinion would be, so I deleted it before submitting it.

I want to read more about the amusement business on CoasterBuzz, but I am just one person, with one opinion.

Perhaps Aamilj is using the wrong message board to vent his political views? Maybe he needs to use CoasterBuzz for his amusement park discussing needs, and find another for his political discussing needs? Perhaps?

"What has happened to CoasterBuzz?" :)

It's a free country - just that I come here for Amusement park discussion needs - and I think a lot of other folks do as well.

I'm sure there is a time and a place for the occasional political comment - But to me lately it is akin to a group of nuns visiting a hedonist festival... The two just don't mix all the time.

This makes me want to set up an alter ego account by a guy who is apparently obsessed with some esoteric subject, like puppets or kites or something. And every post he makes, he'll somehow try to steer the conversation to talking about puppets. Of course, Jeff would out me in a Seattle second.

I authored the 9th post to have nothing but a political take on this thread. And you all decided that just I needed a reminder to keep it on topic? I'm gonna go out a limb here and guess that this is not about those who talk politics. ;)

Your subject evolved into funny political quotes. Eight times all of you thought it was acceptable to hijack this thread. But gosh darn that jerk who tried #9! :) :)

This would seem rather simple. Mr. Faflas either signed a resignation letter (or similar) or he didn't.

You came in 3 days after the topic went back on topic. The funny thing is, someone posted something negative about W., and you HAD to come in and say something about Obama. We get it. You don't like him. But every time someone says something about another political figure doesn't mean you HAVE to come in and attack someone from the other side.

Had you come in on the 22nd or 23rd and made your post, fine. But the topic went back to Q Fundings and Cedar Fair and sat for 3 days before you ventured in here to turn it back to politics.

Its one thing to talk politics in the middle of the thread. It's quite another to make every topic a political argument. You knew what you were doing, and everyone else did too.

And you're right. No one had a problem with it 8 times in a short time span. But it's quite obvious that people got sick of talking politics in this thread when it sat dormant for three days, and the last post was on topic.

I'm gonna go out a limb here and guess that this is not about those who talk politics.

It's at least partially about the fact that it's you doing it, I won't even begin to lie and say it isn't. You're the new guy. You haven't proven yourself as anything but some guy who likes to argue politics on a coaster thread. You remind me of Jeffery R. Smith. Eventually, he got booted (multiple times, IIRC), because no one could stand him. If you want to be that guy, then fine. It's just a coaster board.

Any chance that this is just not a very friendly/accommodating place? Or is it always somebody Else's fault?

Yeah, that's kind of a stretch talking about 'political' gaffes after one ortwo comments when the conversation went back on topic.

Any chance your sense of perspective is skewed? Since their were 8 comments in front of your eyes that you mistook as "one or two?" That is 300-400% away from reality...

I was on topic as much as the eight (8) prior posts denouncing Bush/Palin. Mr. Falafas, it has been contended, hired stupid attorneys. To mock said attorneys we/you made fun of George Bush/Palin as a comparison. I came on here and pointed out the current president thinks there are 58 states, etc. It is all light-hearted and fun...except you seem to take it so serious. Why so serious? Why so angry that you would misrepresent reality by 300-400%?

There is always a new hurdle with you Tek. You reach as far as you can to find something to make it personal. First my posts were too long. Then I was not coaster enough for you. Now I waited too many days for your liking. Why not take on the post instead of the poster?

News Tek... This board had political conversation well before I came and will long after I leave. If I was dogging on Bush/Palin 3 days past your new magical date...you would say NOTHING. You know this, and so does every reasonable minded person reading this thread. Your only beef is you don't like my opinions. My hunch is you didn't like Jeffrey A Smith's or Moosh's either. Those with a conservative slant are expected to walk on eggshells and cower to groupthink...while those with leftest views can be as extreme as they want to be.

Even Bill Mauer would be proud...wait...even he has a conservative or two on the panel every now and then...;)

Tip for you - If you're going to discuss politics - do it in less than 20 words. The length is as annoying as anything.
