Power Dive @ SFGAm

I doubt SFGAm would ever get a ring of fire. Ever. Lets not turn the park into a carnival...

As for a mouse? I think our next coaster could very well be a mouse. Look at Paramount's strategy as of late- build to attract families. A mouse would certainly do that.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Again, a park the size of SFGAm does not need any more low capacity attractions. There are better family alternatives than a wild mouse.

Nate- I couldn't agree more with you. I understand all of your points and love your website! (SfgamWorld)? right?) Very nice..

Gam never really gave us a hint as to why Power Dive was removed....I honestly never had a problem with the ride, you just had to ride it smart...I always made sure my shoulder harness was always a little loose, just so I could breathe, and the leg harness never really bothered me....I think people over-reacted...it wasn't really THAT bad.

I'm honestly rooting for a decent sized floorless, not a compact, (Iron Wolf 2)...just to give the park some loops again, since we're kinda lacking now.

I hate to say it but I do have a contact here and there, I don't want to give names, but I'll try and dig deeper over the winter and for the future :)

I wasn't aware that any park owed anyone explanations for the removal of rides...let alone a bunch of whiny enthusiasses.

Silly me, what was I thinking? They have to tell ACE why they do things, ACE will make a park or break it! LOL, yeah right...

Who, exactly, was arguing that the park owed enthusiasts anything? All he said was that, as far as he is aware, there was no explanation for why Power Dive was removed. He wasn't complaining that the park didn't send him a personal letter. Get off the "don't be an enthusiass" kick and think for yourself.

ClubXJeff, thanks for the comments. However, the SFGAmWorld site is (I believe) operated by Coasterdude316, not me (16 not 18). I'd say a floorless is a likely possibility for SFGAm's next major coaster, but it won't be next year.

Oh, I agree. I hope we never see a mouse at Great America, not only because of the capacity issues, but because I can't stand them. I see no appeal in them whatsoever. If you want to appeal to the families then expand your (already great) family areas.

Ha...Redman...I think you took to my comments a little too strongly. I'm not whining by any means possible, I'm just stating the fact that there's usually a reason that "we" - the enthusiasts, can figure out why a ride has been removed.

I'm not expecting an explanation from the park, they can do whatever they want, I'm just suprised nothing has risen from the situation, figuratively and literally...lol.
