Power Dive @ SFGAm

I'm with coasterdude318 on this one, sorry.

That said, I still think most mice are crap. Exterminator is the obvious exception because it's extremely well done (and Reverchon spinning mice are decent) but I've never been surprised by any other mouse.

Nah, no exception. Exterminator is crap too. IMO, mouse coasters serve *zero* purpose other than fitting into a small space. But if space was the only issue, I'd rather see SFGAm get a Tilt-aWhirl than a wild mouse. They are certainly more exciting!

Hey, I waited in line for V2 one year and it took 1hr;40 min. and i did'nt &i^(# one bit.

My favorite coasters:

1)Shockwave (SFGAm) 2)..... There is no # 2.

I'm going to place a cross with SHOCKWAVE's logo by the enterance to Superman Ultimate Flight.

Fiddler's Fling is pretty much a tilt-a-whirl, so I'd go for the wild mouse. :)
but I love the G forces that Tilt a Whirl can give when you ride it. Plus each time you ride it it is a different experience. On FIddlers Fling it is the same experience
Well, i don't know who's better because i only ride new rides or rollercoasters. (and maybe the orbit.)

Does anyone know where it will be moving yet?

Id love to see something like delerium move into the power dive spot, but I dont know how much space those need. That is something that looks intense for thrill seekers to ride, but is also a cool flat.
I think SFGAm should throw in a ride similar to SFKK's Rainbow.

Fiddler's Fling, IMO, is more akin to a scrambler than a tilt-a-whirl, yet SFGAm has both of those. I'll freely admit that I *hate* mouse coasters. But that doesnt change that I really think SFGAm would be better served with a family type flat than a mouse coaster. Though if they really want to press towards the mark, they'll buy a HUSS Delerium (not to be confused with the PKI ride of similar nameage)

They already have a ride like that. Trailblazer in South West Territory.

Doesn't SFGAm have a Rainbow ride- namely the TrailBlazer? Even though I believe it's a Zamperla ride, the experience is pretty much the same as that found on a Rainbow.

I Dunno but I'd perfer a Delerium like PKI's rather then that.

Why buy such a huge, expensive ride? A KMG Afterburner would do just fine.

SFGAMNUT9302, your Power Dive page needs an update, i went back to SFGAm this year and now the POWER ALLEY is gone. All that's left are some stubs of supports.

Anyone know if anything is going in the place for 2004?

Has it moved yet?

How about the new Mack Fun Coaster?

What it is? Think a 3 bench wild mouse car... but, on a on a tilting mechanism! Mack ran a test of one of those with success on their own wild mouse at Europa Park. The car tilts on the side at every turn. Mack also promise 1500 pph.

As for standard mouse... A direct clone of Matterhorn Blitz (the Europa Park mouse). 1000 pph per hour. How's that possible? A true elevator lift that brings 2 cars to the top at once.

I agree MikeR...when I said 6000$ as a transport fee, plus the cost of rebuilding it, that was a low figure. I just see it as an unfortunate venture..I always admired the way that coaster looked...and only wish I had a chance to ride it. Guess I'll have to visit SFMW.

I'm really just using this as an example...I understand Texas heat was the reason this coaster was moved, but with the proper adjustments that can be fixed...just with any other coaster. I hate to see parks lose coasters with nothing to compensate for it...(or at least no other coaster to compensate...) all the while, it could have been prevented with proper upgrades.

With the restraint problem, that happened to me. My first and only time on the ride, I couldn't breathe well because the restraints were literally CRUSHING my lungs. Ouch.

Mojo said:A ride that flips upside similar to Power Dive. I cant give out any more details then that.

Is it going to be similar to the Fireball type ride, the kind that there's a big circle loop track and the train runs around the track? Did I geuss right? *** Edited 11/28/2003 4:43:26 PM UTC by X Somebody***
