What is life without it's ups and downs

Actually, i think that they did paint some of the rails orange. I think that the rest of the paint job will wait to the fall as the park is now open daily. (Why did they start painting it in early spring and not last fall?) They have the old KCKC site fenced off with a fence that goes all the way back to the former exit of the Beast, trying to hide the site as much as possible, I guess. As of this past Sunday, there are no signs of construction, or markers, yet. Can`t wait until they anounce!

When are they expected to make announcements.

I don't know I just got back from KI today. KCKC was totally dismantled and Vortex was most-of-the-way painted. Besides a ton of mud there was no construction for the 2002 ride. All the people I saw were some dudes in a truck driving under The Beast, while I was on. I couldn't tell what tolls they had but mainly looked like a few stakes and some surveillance tools. That's all I know. And FoF was amazing.

OK I will admit it. I dont want a dang darkride. They will never be better than the experience of going 200 feet in the air and 50 + mph. I am hoping they don't get another darkride.

I've submitted a rumor, but it seems that Rivertown will stick to it's theme in 2002 and have a little of something for everyone. ;)

I was at the park yesterday (6/1/01), and from what I could see they are filling the area at KCKC was. You can rarely tell that there were trenches for the ride over there- most of the land is flat. If I could guess, I would not be surprised that Rivertown paths were extended out where KCKC was and then they could put more rides and attractions extending along the path, with perhaps a rollercoaster in the back. I highly doubt that a new rollercoaster would be located anywhere near where public paths exist now.

Interesting, the idea that the KCKC site could not be the space for a whole new ride, but a Rivertown expansion. That would acutally, make sense. whoa. good insight on that one.

I also heard from a rides associate that The Beast and Vortex (Do not know in what way probably in the way of land) were also involved in the 2002 expansion, so who really knows what is going into the 2002 expansion. Maybe the "Discover New Thrills" really means "Thrills" with an 's'. I would not be surprised if the put more than one ride in the Rivertown expansion. Currently there are a total of two rides in Rivertown, so it would make sense that they'd add more than one ride to the section. Three rides is still a little skimpy, isn't? I find it odd that they have not torn out the Ohio Overland Auto Livery (I think that is what it is called). Perhaps it will be reopened someday, who really knows? PKI truly puts in whatever they feel like with total disregard to public outcry (except for Drop Zone and Face/Off), we did not really need a fourth children's coaster. In my mind PKI has become less of the thrill park that it was and become more of a children's park. Hopefully the park will change that idea next year.

Oh no, they're actually trying to let younger kids enjoy themselves! Those bastards!

To who ever wants to know when they are annoucing or something like that i e-mailed David Mant about the subject and he said,"We will announce information about what's new for 2002 prior to the time
season passes go on sale in August.

We are planning some special festivities for our 30th Anniversary, but the
details are still being developed."

Nothing new as of yesterday (6/5) on the KCKC site but i did notice something interesting. They were preparing some type of footer in the middle of the 2nd helix on SOB. They've already have guy wires in place in the center. This thing is pretty big to be anything else? Could it be the pad from the construction crane? Any clues?

How about a KCKC's revenge for 2002 lol Just kidding, I can't wait to see what it's gonna be!

Cross my fingers, they're planning on adding tunnels to Son of Beast-1)bottom of first hill 2)second helix 3)hop into station

Just watch they will put in a couple of damn racing kiddie coasters or something stupid like that. I can just see it PARAMOUNT KINGS ISLAND THE KIDDIE COASTER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD WITH NOW 6 KIDDIE COASTERS.... What ever it is , it will be massive if they are starting already. WHat ever they add I hope it has some great air.
