I am just curious if anyone has any new pics of the construction. I think it would be kewl to have some progress monitor. For some odd reason I have not been able to access www.pki.com to go check out the webcam.

Have you ever considered they are creating a hole new teritory like they did at sfgam. it could be something like adventure territory or hillbilly falls. get my drift

MAY 5TH
Yeah but think of the likelyhood of that happening. I doubt it. But you never know!

Apparently it is a coaster that was planned for this year, but never materialized.

Has anyone been on one of their other rides?"

They made the Dania Beach Hurricane. It is a mediocre ride when compared to others made by CCI or GCI. It has a few moments of good airtime, but no real intense drops or turns. You can check out some photos of it at my website.

I don`t think that PKI will be investing in a wooden coaster anytime too soon with all the troubles thy had with Son of Beast.

Paramount`s Kings Island-something big is coming for 2002, the park`s 30th anniversary!
A CCI would be a good, very low cost investment. I think PKI should go with a steel hyper as their next project and then keep their wooden history alive with a CCI in 2004-05. I have no clue what kind they would want. They have a kiddie, a racing out-and-back, a terrain, and a mega twister. I think a midsized twister along the lines of GR would be good. As for the hyper, it's the best choice for now. I don't want them to get a TA2K half it's possible potential with the low capacity and all of the problems at PKD. It was smart to stop the flying coaster building too. Hopefully, they can get a good relationship with B&M and put a couple in over a few years. Definitely don't take a risk with a 4D or TA2K...just yet. They've been extremely smart in all of their decisions so we really have nothing to worry about. A themed enclosed spinning wild mouse(think Exterminator) would be really great to have. In case it rains you know. ;)

PKI-Wooden, Helix, and Kiddie Coaster Capital of the World!
And I LOVE CP, so Get Up Out of My Azz About It! :)
Has anyone visited the park today? How`s the satus of the Vortex paint job? How`s the status of the KCKC site and did Smash Factory open today?

A quick updat to pass along. I went to PKI today and all the track of KCKC was gone! There are still a couple supports still standing back by the final drop and some footers still remain. Other than that the whole ride has been demolished (some dbris still sitting on ground) Also, PKI is putting up a new large wooden fence along the pathway to the Beast that goes all the way back to the former exit of the Beast. Vortex had more of the deep blue color and some new orange on the track near the final helix. They better hurry up and paint it! That`s all!

I still say, look for a heavily themed dark attraction at PKI in 2002. Something with the impact of Spiderman. But who's to say they won't get a coaster as well. An Arrowbatic called "Return of the Bat" would blow people away.

Too much is simply NOT ENOUGH...
I don't think they are going to put in a dark ride because they already have one and they also have the portal. It would be wiser if they put in a steel hyper to make their park more rounded. They have, in my opinion, the greatest selection of wood coasters you could have. They have racers, steel loopers, a gyrodrop, an inverted, a suspended but no steel hyper. What ever it is going to be though I think it will be titanic themed.
Hey everyone, Hey any of you thought about a watercoaster? I'm not sure how long they take to build but it fits right in with Rivertown and it's a waterride and a coaster perfect for the area. Also they have alot of lift hills and things so they may take long to build. Also there drops arent big so it wouldn't mess up the Beast in anyway.
PROJECT 2002
Builder: Mack
Type:Watercoaster
Height 100+
Ride Length: 3 minutes
etc.....
