PKI 2009

^Thanks!

^^No kidding Shaggy...I don't know what CF was thinking when they decided to go with those trains with the "DeJaVu-ish" seating arrangement. If my experience with the three Vekoma GIBs is any indication expect confusion at the loading gates and more empty seats than a 4-across config.

Do you think B&M sold them the new design?

I wonder why, if Cedar Fair wanted two across trains, that they didn't design something like the Giovanola trains which I thought were pretty sweet.

If I am remembering correctly, Deja Vu's rows queued four people, making the furthest seat hard to see. With these trains, each row queues two people; with the only difference being the back row of each car having a seperation between the seats. I don't think it will be very confusing once we see them.

The length of the train should be dramatically longer than any other B&M train, which should make for some great back seat airtime. Millennium Force length trains on a Goliath (SFOG) style track sounds unbelievable to me.

My argument is that it ultimately confuses people that want to sit together. More often than not, people ride in pairs.

The seating arrangement on the Deja Vu's and Behemoth create *single* seats away from each other.

Think of it this way... if you want to sit with your significant other, you'd better make sure you que up for the proper seats... otherwise there will be an empty 2-person gap between you.

^You and Moosh are on the right track....er, in the right row...

These weird seating configurations are nightmarish for capacity. At least Behemoth will have one train riding, stacking, and stacked while people figure out where to sit....on Vus there only WAS the one train.

I think we may be overreacting with regards to capacity and loading times on these trains. The new B&M trains don't have an enormous seat support between the two back-row seats, which should make things significantly less confusing. On Deja Vu you can't even *see* your riding partner if you're both seated in the back row of a car. On Behemoth you'll still be seated in the same row and in view of one another, you just have a space between you.

Still, I think it's a pointless and silly change.

Honestly, I wish they'd get rid of the gimick and go with something like a standard train. KUMBA style.

It has the best visibility of any B&M I've ridden from anywhere in the train and not just the front row.

As an enthusiast I feel obligated to overreact. :)

"Nightmarish" probably was a bit strong for these trains. Not for the Vus. At least at Silverwood they won't *need* to handle PPH they stand no hope of realizing.

Seriously though, given the single-train nature of a Vu, that was NOT the ride to try a weird seating configuration throwing it into huge mega-parks. The visibility Nate mentions should be a big improvement over the disruption on Vu.

But as has been noted....WHY? ;)

Now, that would be sweet.

Thanks for posting those photos.

I never realized how much land that pond took up, this picture makes it look like a huge area...

And as for the youtube video, that was pretty sweet, although I think the "back portion" by The Crypt and the helix would have fell right over the midway, I hope this isn't the case....

This picture makes it look like indeed there's going to be some major midway interaction. Let's hope they're taking some inspiration from Charmland along the way...

I have to admit, the logos are quite good for the new names. They're pretty creative - for some lame names.

^ That looks like a footer for a big lift support - and that would match up to that layout that was seen before.

Indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing some overhead views of the site, soon.
So, the red B&M track spotted in Cincy at the production facility that people initially thought was for the new SWO coaster, could that be headed to Mason? The leaked concept art for Manta show blue track, and we all know how much CF loves red track!
