PKI 2009

I will personally PayPal anyone $100 who can get footage of a duck getting scooped up by a B&M splashdown and getting flung out the back end.
I think that comment about the duck is insensitive.
Someone needs to get a sense of humor.

Matt - I'll match your $100. That's now $200 for anyone who can get that footage!

That's why I said 'speculates' and not reveals.

Make sure you watch the video too. :)

That clearing on the far right doesn't look like a hammerhead at all, does it. Nope, not in the least.

Not at all...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

While driving the boat at CP, I sometimes would run over the little bastards! ...And their babies!

They'd usually just pop out the other side of the boat though. HAHAHA!

What makes some people 100% certain it's not a dive coaster? (besides fairy dust, Jeff)

Are there some details about the ride already that rule that out?

Mamoosh's avatar
Yes, but they're classified. If I told you I'd have to kill you ;)
^^A lot of people seem to think that the trough for the splash down is too small for a dive machine, also someone on KIC mentioned that most divers have tight layouts, compared to this which seems to spread out a bit.

Since this was posted by someone else in a new topic, and was told it should be posted here, here it is:

http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080628/NEWS01/806280373/1168/NEWS

It's basically the same article. More than likely wrong too. Anyone else notice it says there is a Dive Coaster in Canada, yet fails to mention the one in China? People really should check their details before publishing (not that most would catch it). Something tells me he mixed up the "C" countries.

^Or they don't really know what a dive coaster is and they were talking about Behemoth.

The very first post of this thread contains an overheard layout which is clearly not for a dive-coaster, and the current land clearing pretty much matches it exactly so far.

If it is a dive coaster it's going to be completely different from every other one, especially considering it's going to stretch all the way from the center of the park all the way back toward Beast's helix.

Is there anything else that could be aside from a "splashdown"? It seems fairly obvious...

If "it has a splashdown" is going to be the argument for it being a dive coaster one could then easily argue it's going to be like Disney's Matterhorn, which has had a splashdown for much longer. Or Frontier City's Wildcat. Or Kersplash at Puyallup Fair. Or a myriad of others.

Since when does the fact that a coaster has a splashdown signify it must be a dive coaster? lol
