PKI 2009

Cool. Thanks Moosh! It's not that Nitro is a bad coaster, It isn't. It just fakes ya into thinking your getting air. Raging Bull was more my style :)

How have I missed an 8100' coaster? Where is that???

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

Sounds like someone doesn't have www.rcdb.com bookmarked!

Maybe it will be something like Tyrannosaurus Rex...sure seems to be some kind of creepy predator type creature from the teasers. Or Anaconda? (Boo) The splashdown makes me think it will be some kind of creature that is at home on land and in the water like a water moccasin.

Long live the Big Bad Wolf

It's obviously a more western themed reptile of some sort and I would think it would be something rather fearsome as Gecko the ride would be a letdown.

So going with poisonous reptiles found in the southwest which the teaser trailers seem to suggest along with porn if you aren't watching the screen.

That gives us:

Gila Monster
Rattler
Sidewinder
Diamondback

Looking at the colors of the eyeball I am gearing things more towards Gila Monster as it sure looks more like a Lizard eye than a snake eye and it has some orange in it.

Regardless think Southwestern US Reptile.

You're right Mamoosh...I thought I was "Rain Man" and knew all the major stats off the top of my head.

My bad....

Aren't those the same colors used on Firehawk? What's with Cedar Fair having multiple coasters in the same park being the same color.

The track color seems to be the same but the support color is different.

Someone obviously has never been to Worlds of Fun -- home of the "red coasters" :(

Or Dorney for that matter with color (green). Voodoo, Hydra, and Laser have slightly varying shades of green.

I hope it doesn't have the same name as behemoth because that would be a let down of a name. I hate when parks reuse names.

Anyway, Mamoosh I agree I dont think its a snake eye and I was trying to think of the same things you were. Gila Monster wouldn't be to bad but they are small so I doubt that would be it. Hope they end up with a good name.

^The average person would have no idea there was another coaster with the same name. And even if they did know, they probably wouldn't care. There's wildcat and wild mouse rides everywhere and no one cares. These will be very similar as well. I think most people would agree with me in saying, as long as it's a good ride I don't care much what the name is.

Still, the marketing campaign for this is pretty elaborate. I don't see why they would put together all of this teaser stuff with some sort of scary animal in a box and then just name it "Behemoth." It doesn't really add up.
As far as I know Cedar Fair hasn't trademarked any new names yet, which leads me to believe it is going to be the same name as another ride in the chain.

...or they could just name it King Cobra. ;)
I think that CF is getting better at hiding name trademarks.

Worlds of Fun's new ride hasn't shown up on the trade mark site.

Maybe they're just going to call it Lizard or something. LOL I can't see it being another "Behemoth" either, and if the ride layout is different, wouldn't it be misleading? Of course, there are two Goliath's by the same company and one is 30 feet taller than the other, and there's a wooden Goliath as well, so who knows?
