Has anyone seen anything happening around SoB? I heard a rumor from an employee once on a Beast night ride, and he mentioned that they were going to put tunnels in various places on SoB...
Evrdred, I heard that too, in fact when SOB first opened their was a huge 2 page section on SOB and it said that they might add tunnels on it. (*Check out cincinnati .com as they have all the past two years newspapers online) That would be cool if they had tunnels on it, especially after the first drop, then it would really compete with its dad!!! Thrillride.com has a rumor that PKI in 2002 is getting a 315 foot tall coaster with an 80 degree drop behind Flight of Fear. That would be aweseome but, if its true (which I doubt), then River Town will once again be left out!
Shawn, thanks for the pics! I would've responded to them earlier, except I'm trying to upgrade my system and it's going bonkers on me....in other words, I'm down (that's why I'm posting from work). As soon as I can connect with my home system, I'll get them.
As for the upcoming season, I don't know about most of you, but I'm really looking forward to 7th Portal and the return of the log flume more than anything else (since it'll be something I can actually ride, vs something like the kid coaster where I'll be too big (just a guess)). Hopefully the Vekoma inverted will be more 'family oriented' than Scooby's Ghoster Coaster. Just seeing average sized adults trying to squeeze into those tubs makes for some amusement. I am really curious about the design of the trains and the capacity of this ride. One thing's for sure, if it's a decent little coaster, expect it to be packed all the time, just like the Nick area in general.
Paramount`s Great America officially anounced their 2001 attractions today (it appeared in the news section today). So does that mean that Paramount`s Kings Island will confirm/anounce their 2001 attraction really soon? Also, I`m lloking forward to riding the log flume and 7th Portal (anyone know if they are having this on both sides of the Paramount FX Theater?). I`m also looking forward to riding the inverted coaster. I may need my 2nd grade cousin with me to ride (he`s the one who got me on Scooby`s Ghoster Coaster on the last day of 2000) but I will ride it.
