PKI

Bring Back the BAT as a B&M inverted coaster.:) There's your haunted forest idea. Have it be a clone of Top Gun: the Jetcoaster at PC.

I think an inverted would go good by flight of fear. Possibly in a trenh like nemesis

As long is there is never a Six Flags Sandusky, I will live a happy life.
BEASTmaster -
That's actually a really cool idea. Seriously. You need to write to Paramount about that. "The Return of The Bat" - what a great concept!

They've got one like this already. It's called The Beast.

I read somewhere that the flying coaster in Rivertown was going to be "The Bat." Same logo and everything. Too bad it got the axe.
Shivering Tim, I was going to edit my post after I remembered how nicely everything but the lift hill on Beast was hidden. But then I decided to leave it. I want it completely hidden. Like White Water Canyon in a way.
I think that PKI should create a classic section of the park behind the racer. Something along the lines of Kennywood with a whip and other classic rides. They could still get a steel coaster, but age it to make it look all rusted and worn. That would be sweet.
The idea of a hidden coaster in River Town sounds like a good idea. It should either be a hyper or giga steel themed to fit in with River Town or it should be a flying/inverted coaster named The Bat or Revenge of Bat. some where in the que line should be pictures, videos and models of the original bat. I don`t know where this ride would go. It would be nice to see though. I still think RiverTown needs a stell coaster. They could make it look all rusty, to fit in with the theme of the area, and make it completly hidden from view, except from the Eiffel tower, from the path.
Check out coaster-mania.com for a lot of good information on PKI`s 2001 information which still has yet to be officially anounced. Also, it features an interview with Jeffrey Siebert, who eludes to "We have a lot of GREAT thing planned for 2002!" Kind of makes you wonder what they`re trul;y doing doesn`t it?
They need a 4D coaster!

PS:Arent they getting a family inverted?
"Great things" could mean anything. Remember, we are talking Cincinnati - what may be "great" here is generally just ordinary, in my opinion. Though I seriously can't imagine they won't do another coaster - and I HOPE THEY DO (hint hint to those at PKI who may be reading this) - I sort of doubt it would be anything too earth shattering. But, one can dream.
XD1, yes they are, check it out at coaster-mania.com. Silver winds, do you think they won`t add one? Because your sentence is a double negative and two negatives make a positive which would mean you think they are adding a coaster. Personally, if PKI does add a new coaster in 2002, it will be the fifth coaster in as many years! They may take a break from coaster building but I can`t see that happening with PKI`s nth anniversary. What do you mean by

It doesn't matter. I was just in a foul mood.
I do have a couple of shots of the construction site at PKI on my site. These were taken yesterday from the air. The page with the shots is: http://www.coasterguide.com/news.htm
I have various other shots including the other log flume, with no sign of activity around them.

I don't think that they would add one, I'm not sure what it is, but they usually don't copy other park's coaster ideas.

What is life without geniuses?
I recently heard that PKI was considering brining back Winterfest in 2001.
I was told so they could compete with The Beach who has in the last two seasons have been doing something similar. *** This post was edited by lumpy72 on 1/24/2001. ***
Winterfest would be so cool! They could even have Outer Limits and some of their other indoor rides open. Wait. I think the only other one is Phantom theatre. But oh well. That and the shows would get a ton of guests to come. And it would help people to come and see a preview of the next years attractions.
I haven't heard anything about them bringing back Winterfest, but I hope they do. They used to have the train running, also. Plus, they could temporarily run the antique cars in a winter wonderland theme. Plus, there was something about the funnel cakes with hot apples that were just better in the winter.
I agree with the Winterfest Idea...They need to bring it back. As for the coasters, many of them won't run if it is below a certain temperature. Last April there was one friday where it only got into the lower 40's and they were not running anything because it was too cold. In fact they ended up closing the park early that night (well, the park was only scheduled to be open for 4 hours anyway), and they gave us all comp passes on the way out. I am not sure they would run any coasters (even Outer Limits), in the winter.
