The updated photos look wonderful. It will definitely replace the attention-getter persona that OE had.
Please keep the updates coming Swoosh!
I will always miss OE no matter what. It was my first coaster I ever rode and it will have a special place in my heart. However PATRIOT looks sexy and will make up for the absence of my beloved OE.
Swoosh yes please keep the updates coming I will be driving by WOF November 13th for my Nephews Karate Tourney in KC Kansas at some Community College there. Can't wait to see the progress in person.

Long live the Big Bad Wolf
Anyways, after living in Kansas City for my entire grade school career, it is very disappointing that ZZ and OE are gone. I gradually eased my way onto my first three coasters there on the same day for my Birthday Party when I was in first grade. First ZZ, then TW, then OE. When I was in 5th and 6th grade, I spent a lot of hours there with my season pass.
Glad to see they are finally rebuilding a people drawing big looping coaster.
As for HH drawing people away from WoF, I'm sure you're right. HH harbor is kind of miserble if you don't pay for a tube though.
As for HH, go early in the season and late and you will be fine. Avoid Saturdays like the plague during peak season.
I also miss OE and enjoyed ZZ as well. All I know...I really like PAT's Power Stripe....
The webcam was cached all day for some reason. They did not get the loop all the way done, but made quite a bit of progress on it.
Back to PAT...are all the footers poured? Also, what is in the building that is currently hosting the clown spook house?
All I know is that I NEVER venture up past the go-carts normally...which will all change next year. There actually may be a line for the ferris wheel sometime next season...LOL.
2. The footers were all poured before the station started to be erected. The carnival of carinovorous clowns build only houses that haunt during the season. That building used to be several different shops and stuff when that area was known as Beat Street. It just never caught on.
3. Patriot Plaza will be very busy next season and yes I think Skyliner will have a longer line than it does now next season. Sad thing is that most people riding Skyliner right now are coaster nerds who want to look at Patriot. :)
I still hate Ferris Wheels to this day and Love Roller Coasters. You won't catch me on skyliner unless my fiance begs me and she know's howmuch I hate Ferris Wheels so don't know if that will happene.
I myself am a ferris-WON'T as they scare me. Especially the model that Skyliner is.
I went to the first game and all I could think was that this was the same team we had last year...except we could now return a punt. After the game with Pitt I thought we actually were improving some on the offensive side, and still do think we are improving some...but at this rate, it will be several years before we get back into the top 10 consistently.
I haven't been on a FW in years and I whole heartedly know that Moosh is right in regards to it's current ridership at WOF.
Moosh, can you tell me, are they using much of the ravine? I loved the fact that OE used to dive in that ravine, but, from seeing the computer generated layout and what I did 3 weeks ago when I was there, it looks as if they aren't using it much. Is that the case?
The webcam is back online and they are currently working on the vertical loop. Half is up and they are getting ready to hoist the second half.
Sorry Swoosh...and I mean no offense to Moosh.....but I think the two of you are 'cut from different cloths'...if you know what I mean...it's amazing what a small typo can do.... :)
Swoosh...do you think they left it off of OE's lot for any specific reason?
BTW...nice signature....

Long live the Big Bad Wolf
There was definitely a reason why they left it off of OE's lot. This ride was being planned when OE was still up and the plan was for OE to still be there as was the case in Spinning Dragons. They were all to coexist. That however did not materialize.... :(
There are plans for the OE lot and depending on how well this coaster is received, we might see another large cap sooner than we all think. 2007 is going to be a major season for OOF though as it is bulked up to fight with Schlitterbahn.
