Patriot Goes Vertical!

Timberwolf stained burgandy would be pretty sweet. lets get on that.
dannerman, don't take yourself so serious. I'm sorry I didn't put in any winky faces and so on. ;)
Tony...do you think our Huskers are improving this season...or is the west coast offense never gonna work???

The updated photos look wonderful. It will definitely replace the attention-getter persona that OE had.

Please keep the updates coming Swoosh!

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Yea I think they look better then last year for sure. Is what they are doing right now going to cut it? No. They will need to keep improving which I think they will. Maybe we can keep a coach longer then 5 years and Callahan can actually turn the program around time will tell.

I will always miss OE no matter what. It was my first coaster I ever rode and it will have a special place in my heart. However PATRIOT looks sexy and will make up for the absence of my beloved OE.

Swoosh yes please keep the updates coming I will be driving by WOF November 13th for my Nephews Karate Tourney in KC Kansas at some Community College there. Can't wait to see the progress in person.

I hope some day, a pair of red interlocking vertical loops will once again grace the skyline in OE's lot. It's that piece of OE that was WoF's landmark for me.

Long live the Big Bad Wolf

creighton basketball and HUSKER FOOTBALL says the Omaha paper. As long as you fans keep being ridiculous, the coaches will keep going through there, and Nebraska will never be what it could be. UK fans here are the same way when it comes to basketball, as many are calling for Tubby's job after the winningest record for the past 3 years. I guess its final four or bust.

Anyways, after living in Kansas City for my entire grade school career, it is very disappointing that ZZ and OE are gone. I gradually eased my way onto my first three coasters there on the same day for my Birthday Party when I was in first grade. First ZZ, then TW, then OE. When I was in 5th and 6th grade, I spent a lot of hours there with my season pass.

Glad to see they are finally rebuilding a people drawing big looping coaster.

As for HH drawing people away from WoF, I'm sure you're right. HH harbor is kind of miserble if you don't pay for a tube though.

Down is the new up.
Hurricane Harbor did take away attendance at first, but that attendance is coming back now. The thing that SFI forgets is that adding something BIG will help initially, but if you don't add anything else year after year and upkeep what you have, then people will leave again. Seriously contemplating not having a SF pass next season.

As for HH, go early in the season and late and you will be fine. Avoid Saturdays like the plague during peak season.

Interlocking loops would be nice but beggers can't be choosers. Anyways does anyone know whats up with the patriot webcam looks as dark as night right now wierd.
I agree guys with the thoughts of the 'revolving door' coaches. Too many Nebraskans got spoiled with Osborne over the years...and now they expect it....time will tell with Callahan, but he needs a fair chance, IMO.

I also miss OE and enjoyed ZZ as well. All I know...I really like PAT's Power Stripe....

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
LoL Power Stripe. Ahmen on giving him chance. we stole the Missouri kid from right under neath Mizzou's nose. He should be a good QB.
Yes but we have Chase and we all saw how good he was against Iowa State.

The webcam was cached all day for some reason. They did not get the loop all the way done, but made quite a bit of progress on it.

I have to say...the general buzz in Lincoln is that people are being more patient with Callahan this year...but everyone, in general, is still impatient.

Back to PAT...are all the footers poured? Also, what is in the building that is currently hosting the clown spook house?

All I know is that I NEVER venture up past the go-carts normally...which will all change next year. There actually may be a line for the ferris wheel sometime next season...LOL.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
1. My question is why did NU hire a loser? He couldn't win with the Raiders, what makes them think he can win with the Huskers?

2. The footers were all poured before the station started to be erected. The carnival of carinovorous clowns build only houses that haunt during the season. That building used to be several different shops and stuff when that area was known as Beat Street. It just never caught on.

3. Patriot Plaza will be very busy next season and yes I think Skyliner will have a longer line than it does now next season. Sad thing is that most people riding Skyliner right now are coaster nerds who want to look at Patriot. :)

Chase didn't do much against NU he had 2 plays and couldn't make nada of the oppurtunity. Brad Smith on the other hand made us look like a PeeWee football team lol.

I still hate Ferris Wheels to this day and Love Roller Coasters. You won't catch me on skyliner unless my fiance begs me and she know's howmuch I hate Ferris Wheels so don't know if that will happene.

The reason why Chase couldn't do anything was because he was being considered a "golden boy" after his performance in the ISU game and the fans were calling for a permanent quarterback switch. The plays he was in there - the play calling was terrible. They put him in there to be a sacrificial lamb and so that they could get the fans to forget about him and go back to supporting Smith. That's why he "sucked" against NU. It wasn't his fault, he was set up.

I myself am a ferris-WON'T as they scare me. Especially the model that Skyliner is.

You know Tony...I have no idea why they hired him, other than my thought that Pedersen didn't want him as much as a coach, rather that he wanted to replace Nebraska's historic 'just keep running it up the middle' offense.

I went to the first game and all I could think was that this was the same team we had last year...except we could now return a punt. After the game with Pitt I thought we actually were improving some on the offensive side, and still do think we are improving some...but at this rate, it will be several years before we get back into the top 10 consistently.

I haven't been on a FW in years and I whole heartedly know that Moosh is right in regards to it's current ridership at WOF.

Moosh, can you tell me, are they using much of the ravine? I loved the fact that OE used to dive in that ravine, but, from seeing the computer generated layout and what I did 3 weeks ago when I was there, it looks as if they aren't using it much. Is that the case?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Well I doubt Moosh will know, but I can tell you that Patriot is not located on OE's lot. It is located across the access road up on the hill. It will use the terrain of the land several times during the course. You will be able to notice it most going up the lift hill and then the run to the immelmann.

The webcam is back online and they are currently working on the vertical loop. Half is up and they are getting ready to hoist the second half.

ROTFLMAO....

Sorry Swoosh...and I mean no offense to Moosh.....but I think the two of you are 'cut from different cloths'...if you know what I mean...it's amazing what a small typo can do.... :)

Swoosh...do you think they left it off of OE's lot for any specific reason?

BTW...nice signature....

Long live the Big Bad Wolf

The only thing that I have in common with Moosh is that I like coasters. The similarities END there. :) LOL!

There was definitely a reason why they left it off of OE's lot. This ride was being planned when OE was still up and the plan was for OE to still be there as was the case in Spinning Dragons. They were all to coexist. That however did not materialize.... :(

There are plans for the OE lot and depending on how well this coaster is received, we might see another large cap sooner than we all think. 2007 is going to be a major season for OOF though as it is bulked up to fight with Schlitterbahn.
