I really have no idea which park some of these people are going to.

Ever hear of Viper? Rolling Thunder? B:TR? Skull Mountain? Heck, I even saw Blackbeard's down one day.

As for S:UF. Its ALL SF, There is NO excuse that they can't get a B&M running. Especially on its 2nd year. S:UF ran very bad this year, They would run one train and it would break down if they would add the 2nd one.

Again, I don't know what park you've been to, but in my now 11 visits this year, I've never seen S:UF down for more than 10 minutes. I actually can't specifically recall anytime the ride was down at all or when it was running less than 2 trains (except due to lack of guests), but I'm sure it was when my back was turned.

Perhaps the ops were slow, but the ride was running great every time I was there.

That's why MF is the best to the GP...

And you're basing that on?

Probably nothing, but give him a break, he's voting Bush. ;)

This is the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy
Last I checked 15-16 year olds can't vote, dude :) I don't vote because teenages leave favors in their coaster board sigs, actually, I just count the numbers of bumper stickers I see. Whoever has the most, I vote for them. ;)

Now, back to that big coaster thing.... *** Edited 10/4/2004 10:04:32 PM UTC by Peabody***

All I know is I can't wait to ride this. I just hope they bring back the coaster celebration this year because I want some serious ERT on this thing. All you people comparing this coaster to that one is stupid. Just be glad there is a coaster war so we keep getting more of them to ride, thats all I care about.

Well, I have been there alot too. Half the times S:UF was running horribly. I don't know if people remember the flying wrench incident of June this year.

http://xtremecoasters.com/public/sufbang.zip

That was one of many times S:UF was running horribly and wound up shutting down fully. They had just added on a train when a wrench came flying off the train. It slammed into the support, Luckily nobody was hurt. That thing was huge. That was gadv's maintainence team at its worst.

Do you have any idea how to not quote the entire thread in your own posts?

Well I know several people who have been on both Superman and MF that I know very well. They are what you would define as the general public. " yeah I like rollercoasters. It's nice going to parks everyone in a while" When I ask them which they prefer they look at me like I am weird. "MF Eric Duh" You people generally prefer Superman. Like I said earlier. People enjoy coasters for 2 reasons 1 for survival (TTD) adrenline rush 2 just the ride is fun (Superman.) Enthusiasts are generally more of type 2 which is why we generally prefer superman. MF combines both those better than any other ride.

I totally agree with AJRIDES. CP would never be the way they are now if other parks did not break their records. If other parks did not CP would find little point in breaking the record again. Example Magnum to MF to TTD. *** Edited 10/5/2004 12:43:17 AM UTC by GIGAFORCE01***

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

I am more referring to the Adrenline rush while you are waiting in line. Yes Superman does have some I guess. 208 feet. 75 degree drop but that is nothing compared to 310 feet 80 degrees. If the thing that scared you about superman was the ride itself in other words not the anticipation then that only lasted briefly. But if You where afraid of Superman meaning the anticipation then just think how much more MF is and how much better you will feel about yourself after accomplishing and even more terrifying looking ride.

What also adds to the adrenaline rush is the train zooming by the queue at a high rate of speed over the last bunny hill and overbanked turn.

I want to ride Kingda Ka! Can't anyone just say "yes I want to ride it" or "no i won't ride it" and then people leave it at that?!?!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Well Apollo andy maybe I had good days going because everytime I went most coasters were up with full capacity except Batman chiller/one side of RT.The park is doing a ok job it isn't horrible as most people want to make it out to be. *** Edited 10/5/2004 2:41:00 AM UTC by JayRider_18***

Great Adventure really does a pretty good job considering the staffing constraints that they have. Not having every single flat open at all times is a downer but having Nitro run three trains almost every single day, having atleast one side of chiller open, having 3 trains on medusa, and having pretty much all rollercoasters running with atleast 75% capacity is pretty damn good for a SF park. Employees there (supervisors) really care about their jobs and try they best they can to allocate the staff to make everything work.

3rd train on Medusa has been a detriment rather than a benefit the last 2 season because of the poor ops. In fact, they recently took it off completely.

Even if Millie had major airtime air on all its hills, it only HAS four oppotunities to do so. SFNE's Superman has nine moments of airtime.

You do the math ;)

No, having ridden both coasters multiple times [Millie as recently as 2002, Superman as recently as last year] I can definitely attest that Superman not only offers more airtime but more severe airtime, including two moments with airtime and laterals - something Millie does not offer.

Both rides fun? You bet! But if you're an airtime junkie Superman is your choice.

Clarify: Ejecter Air on S:RoS (IMHO, anyhow). Millie gave me great floater air on its hills. But I will say that S:RoS at SFA gives both ejector (Mmmm...) and good floater.

But agreed, both fun rides. I still like RoS @ SFA and PR @ Kennywood better, though:).

But being in the last two cars on Millinnium Force on that first drop is like nothing else. It's absolute perfect floater.
