New Year's Eve Celebrations/Parties

ROTFLMAO! I know!

I agree, they REALLY need to bring those videos back, at least for some laughs and reminiscing. ;-)

I have about 15 tapes (yep, VHS) full of Headbanger's Ball and Hard 60/30 shows, as well as a ton of other stuff....from Britney Fox to Ozzy.

You guys need to hook up with VH1 Classic. They play lots of 80's metal videos and they have a "Metal Mania" show that runs weekly.

The weekend the Crue tour was announced, they did a big 6 hour Metal Mania and every third or fourth video was a Motley vid, then between the video blocks they were running clips of the VH1 Classic guy (Eddie Trunk, I believe) doing a new interview with them.

Good stuff. They played tons of hair metal that day.

I'd love to get VH1 classic and MTV2 (for Headbangers Ball) and the old cheese, but I rarely watch tv other than at night when I'm going to bed for background noise. The only reason I have my cable now is because you need the basic service to get high speed internet.

I guess I'm stuck waiting for bands to come out with DVD's of their videos or to watch at friends houses who have the cool music channels. I already have all Iron Maidens, Motorhead, and Sepultura's videos on DVD.

The best cheezy new video I saw was Goathorn. Basicly a cross between "Fight To Your Right To Party", and old Twisted Sister. Unfortunately the video is down at the moment.

Tina, I too have a tape or two of Headbangers Ball stuff, just the videos though. I'm suprised MTV didn't cash in and release the Headbangers Ball stuff on DVD. Some of that stuff was pretty funny like Alice In Chains at the Action Park.

Good call LG, my friend has that and everytime I am over there, he has it on, it is hilarious to see the videos from the 80's, man I love the hair metal and wish I was old enough at that time to really enjoy it (if you know what I mean).

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

To keep this somewhat on track I can only imangine what Diamond Dave would be like hosting a New Years Eve party! As long as he was "LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS," I'm sure it would be good! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL VAN HALEN LINEUP!

Well I just thought I'd give an update of the concert. Basically David Lee Roth yelled out the MF word about a million times as well as about every other cussword you can imagine on the parks busiest day of the year in the middle of CityWalk hearable to thousands of toddlers walking by. I thought that was sad and funny all at the same time. :)

God bless Diamond Dave. :)

I'm glad to hear he is still the same good old DLR!
I just wonder how many "WOOOOOAAAAAH's or HEAAAAAAAAAAY's" he let out durring the show! :)

It wouldn't be a true rock and roll show if there was no cussing and swearing. ;-)

I know, but I thought Universal might be a little more family oriented when it comes to that kind of thing lol

Assuming you buy into the traditional definition of "family oriented", of course. :)

They should have known what they were getting into when someone there said, "Hey, Lets get David Lee Roth for New Years."

He doesn't exactly have a squeeky clean background. Getting caught buying a small bag of weed in a park in NYC, having a statue on stage that urinated Jack Daniels to name a few.
