New Year's Eve Celebrations/Parties

Eh, that was more for future reference than for this trip. But there've been several times when a laptop has bailed me out (in 2003, I remember checking CP's website to see if TTD was scheduled to be in operation in the morning before I left). I'd recommend birthday/christmas next year/graduation? present, though. :)

Heck, on my first CP trip, we got stuck on I80 somewhere in the middle of PA at like 3am behind an accident that had traffic stopped for about an hour. I pulled out the trusty laptop and worked on a new 3D cg wallpaper for my website.

I will definitely guarantee myself 1 by graduation. I do want one bad, especially a centrino so I can get hot spots at like Borders and stuff.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

ugh. buzzwords. marketer's dream, but a nightmare to someone who knows better.

Centrino is a processor made by Intel. Truth of the matter is that AMDs buck-for-buck provide better performance. They just don't market quite as heavily. To get hot spots, you don't need centrino (or any particular processor). Just a Wireless (occasionally referred to as 'Wi-Fi') Network Card. A good number of laptops on the market actually come with wireless built in since they're geared more towards businesspeople and college students, all of which are getting increasingly wireless.

Hey now, I asked, "Who is I.N.X.S.?" not "inks".

+Danny, they could never tear us apart

It's OK Danny, I was there. I know the truth. ;-)

I was at Universal last year for New Year's Eve, and it rained. HARD. They had to cancel all of the events and everything, I think they may have even closed the park. Just hope and pray that it doesn't rain while you're down there!

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.

That's me :)

GO with a wifi enable laptop, though I think you have to pay for the T-Mobile hotspots at Borders.
A laptop is a great thing for long road trips, you can record some details of your day, and of course, keep up on directions with a good maps program.

Kyle Fobe said: I have heard of Van Halen, just not well enough to know he was apart of them. I just heard they were 1 of the greatest rock bands of all time.

I'm sorry if I'm making you sound all old and stuff, but I seldom listen to R'n'R I mostly listen to hip hop. You know, the music that would give all of you over 40 a headache.

Hey now! That would be "over 30" for some of us. ;-)

Now I feel old as well. First Kyle asks what band David Lee Roth was in and then Danny confuses "inks" with INXS. ;-)

And to top THAT off, the other day some kid (about 13-14 years old) asked me if I heard of the new song by that *new* band called Duran Duran. I wanted to cry. lol.

-Tina

lol Tina. at 42 I get that all the time.
heck, i remember the original 'i think we're alone now' and then some teenie-boppin tart does a version of it in a shopping mall video and the kids thought it was brand new! lol
Hey, Kyle, ever heard anything by Judas Priest? personally, i thought they kicked butt bigtime.

Dood. Kyle.

Your Xanga site herts me. God Bless you. That mouse click you heard was your xanga site being added to my Favorites.

True comedic gems. Someone get this kid his own sitcom!

Did you see it before he changed the title, Brian? Kyle is our very own CBUzz PimpJuice;).

Oh, and Tina, These kids these days.

Truly a sad thing...

I cant get over the fact that he went to hooters and Dick's, yet he took a lot more photographs at Dicks than he did at hooters.

What a funny individual. Look at the kid, does he look anything like a "pimp" or "thug"

Have you ever seen pix of Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop D-O-Double G, or any other rapper at high school age? They didn't look pimpish or thuggish either...

Na, they all looked liked geeks like the rest of us. ;-)

i am 18 years old and all i listen to prettymuch is classic rock. Just so you know, there are kids out there that do appreciate real music, not this phony crap out there today.

for example..... Van Halen, The Who, Black Sabbath, the Beatles, Rush, and the all time greatest band IMHO Led Zeppelin. For christmas today i recieved one cd from each of these bands, kinda cool *** Edited 12/26/2004 5:03:18 AM UTC by TOPTHRILLDUFF***

The term 'Real Music' means different things to different people. I'm sure people that do not enjoy the same thing consider the music they listen to as 'real'.

I like all kinds of music, but if I'm ever @ a club with Van Halen, The Who, Black Sabbath, or Led Zeppelin playing, I'm not gonna be there long.

To each his own:).

Then I guess I will find my own ride home Clint. :'-(

I didn't say 'Bar', tina;). If I'm in a bar with that music playing, I'll stay. But Club, now thats a different story:).

Correct...although I think pretty much everyone agrees Janet Jackson is not real music ;)

No, but she is 'Breast-tastic'.

:D

I wouldn't even go that far - maybe saggy-licious, crusty-ful or even fake-tastic ;)

"Real music" should mean one thing as far as I'm concerned - the person(s) who get credit for the music should write and play all parts of it. If you can get up on a stage and without any CD players or effects machines and play your set, you play real music. If you can't do that, talk to me when you have real talent. But everyone from Zepplin to Beethoven to Reel Big Fish, those are all real music, but not Janet (sorry Tekno). Take it for what it's worth (and if it's worth it, take it twice!)
