New Year's Eve Celebrations/Parties

Moosh,
I didn't even mention any of the more bizzare names like: Bathtub $hitter (my personal favorite name), Agathocles, Lawnmower Deth, Dying Fetus, Prosthetic (i'm not even going to mention the other word because usually it makes women angry at it's mention). Just think Cattle Decapitation are vegetarians! Who would have thunk! :) Although you can always use THIS method to name your band!

Tina,
Speaking of 80's bands are you going to see Motley Crue next year when they go on tour?

Thank God danny didn't say he was 'Tekno-sexual':).

Dannerman: Thanks:). People tell me all the time I shoulda been a lawyer, but I'm too honest for that;).

And as for the whole 'there is better music if you look past MTV', I agree 100%. I rarely use MTV for new music, heck, they've blackballed my 3 favorite artists, janet, daft punk, and prince (yes, I have a wussy side). Which is why I like XM radio. Can't wait to get my own, I miss my roommate;).

Four smilies in one post? Whatever you're taking send some my way! ;)

I'm just a naturally happy, friendly, fun guy, despite what some people on this board will have you to believe:).

Being around me is like being drunk. You know you shouldn't be doing it, but it's so much fun you just can't get enough because it makes you laugh so hard...:P

I bought Sirius back in September and love it. There's so much to choose from but I only listen to a handful of the channels. I love the fact that I can listen while I'm online for free, since I don't have a home docking kit yet and my boombox antenna is too short to get good reception.

For the amount of time I spend in my car going back and forth to work it totally rocks. Since I bought it I only carry a few cd's instead of a folder of about 50. To me it was well worth the $150 for the reciever and a docking station and $12 a month. I guess it just depends on how much you listen to music and what your tastes are.

I'm looking forward to some long park road trips this coming summer! :)

OK, tekno, just because I gave you a compliment doesn't mean you have to steal my smileys. :)

Although for a modest fee, I'll give you an unlimited license ;)

WOW! Those are some pretty insane names! I am curious what the Prosthetic......whatever is though.....PM it to me.

I was seriously thinking of seeing the Crue in Columbus in March. I was on their website the other day and noticed that they even sell "packages" to S.I.N club members. For a mere $400 you can get this:

VERY LIMITED - TICKET AND TICKET PACKAGES AVAILABLE ONLY TO FAN CLUB MEMBERS!!

PLATINUM PACKAGE - $400
* One ticket premium price level between ROWS 1 -2. May vary by venue.
* Preshow backstage tour
* Band Experience with individual photo.
* Set of real Motley Crue guitar picks.
* Tour Book autographed by Motley

It also goes on to say that you CANNOT use your own cameras, that the photo has to be taken by the band's photographer. Now why didn't they have this when I was a S.I.N. club member in my teens? :-D

And I am curious what this "band experience" is...;-)

Another word for cat, Tina ;)

Kudos to +Danny for mentioning Interpol, Muse, and Death Cab. Sorry I think Modest Mouse sucks plain and simple but to each his own. I don't get the hype about them, but then again most of my musical favs come from overseas...ahem The Smiths, Bowie, Spiritualized, The Verve, The Cure, Swervedriver, and The Church.

Speaking of Jet, one of my last memories of Miracle Strip is on the final closing night riding The Dungeon (enclosed Tilt-O-Whirl) listening to "Are You Gonna Be My Girl". It rocked. Everytime I hear that song now it brings a warm glow to my whole body.

Blink and Green Day have scaled to new heights in my opinion with their latest more "arty" records. Who would've ever imagined Robert Smith singing on a Blink record?

Rock and Roll!

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Another word for that, Moosh ;)

For some reason I'm thinking the "band experiance" will probably be somthing where you get to meet all the members for about 30 seconds before the show, get your picture taken, then sent to your seat.

I bet "the experiance" would have been very interesting back before they all cleaned up.

"See You Next Tuesday" Dan?
Nah, I don't touch anything other than beer and an occasional shot or two.

Just say no to drugs, and Vekoma :)

Methinks you didn't get that...check your PM.
That went right over my head like a 747! Somtimes I "can't understand normal thinking", Moosh :)

What was this topic about anyway? Oh yea, New Years Eve celebrations/parties. My friend was going to have a pirate themed new years party but it fell thru. Would have been fun. For a minute I thought this was going to turn into another Quick Question About Speed In Vegas... thread or should I call it How Do You Google?

Prosthetic Ocelot? ;)

(sorry.. my bro got Metal Gear Sold 3: Snake Eater for Christmas and has been playing it quite a bit since then, so that literally was the first thing that came to my mind.. not the "obvious" one.)

Actually you and Moosh were both wrong Tina if you were thinking the band was Prosthetic (P-word)...it isn't the P-word....it's the C-word. how f-ed up does someone have to be to come up with that band name?

--George H

Probably as f-ed up as the person who would buy one of their cd's. I don't know anyone who would do that. ;) *** Edited 12/29/2004 5:04:36 AM UTC by coasterpunk***
Then there are bands like Cannibal Corpse, expletitive expletitive expletitive groupies, and the one that I just won't mention...
At least these bands were never accused of molesting childern, exposed body parts at the super bowl, or lip synching. :) I somehow find the good in things. :)
