NEW SDC RIDE CONCEPT SURVEY! WOW!

Any chance this is an early survey for what the park wants to do in 2006 or 2007. Maybe the woodie (or other earlier survey concepts) is already decided on for 2004 or 2005.
At least there are no questions on this survey about 'which attraction do you think SDC could lose..' (paraphrasing) those are the type of questions I do not like.

Also, I think the Suspended flyer was a SETPOINT of which I am very AGAINST due to Capasity

200 foot vertical setpoint? The only coaster that I can think of that climbs 200 feet vertically first is Deja Vu, and this sounds nothing like that. This has got to be something new and innovative.

Suspended Looping? Sounds Vekoma

That picture *looks* Vekoma, too. A 150 foot SLC. Yay. :-/

So because there isn't one now there can't be one ever? I'm sure if SDC asked Setpoint for a 200 footer and showed 'em the money Setpoint would say yes.

I voted for the suspended glider, I don't think our nation has been having the greatest luck with launched coasters these days. I also think that coaster would bring more revenue than any of the other ones. I'm assuming the suspended looping was just that, an SLC which wouldn't impress people that go to SFSTl. and ride Batman TR, and if it was a Batman TR clone, it also would not do much good for the same reason.

Warning: I do not think like the average person. My remarks have plenty of thought behind them. Take it for what it's worth, if you disagree, please, feel free to express it, but don't put me down because of it.

You guys really think they'd build a 150ft SLC? Why would you think that? I think there are more points going for B&M simply because they seem to be pleased with how Wildfire turned out. Why wouldn't they go back to B&M for an inverted, especially since B&M builds the undisputed best lift hilled inverteds?

(Nothing against you, but) If you knew how hard the maintinance workers work at SDC, you would realize they would treat this ride differently than a lot of parks would. They strive to have every single ride working every minute of the day. And they do a darn good job at it.

SDC loves to look into more innovative ride ideas. (Buzz Saw Falls)
With BSF, it was the worlds first Water-coaster. With the launched, it would be the first launched water coaster in the US.

JWolg: I agree, maybe they got such a good response from the Wooden coaster, they already decided to do that. And maybe these could be for 2006 or 2007.

Well with some many demands for wood when ACE visits the park, I would imagine that combined with the large request for the wood on the survey make it a go for SDC, question is - will that be a 2004 or 2005 addition.

Unlike other parks who do a good job at maintaining rides?

No I was refering to parks like Six Flags, where you can never count on some rides being open half the year.

Yeah, innovatively boring rides... Buzzsaw has to be one of the most boring coasters out there. The concept has a lot of potential... just none of it was used in this case.

I don't know what Six Flags park(s) you're talking about, but I can sure as hell count on the rides being open and running smoothly at my homepark which just so happens to be a Six Flags park.

Wow, you can argue for a 200 foot setpoint, but cant believe Hershey will add a rocket coaster...good call.

Sugart - I never said Hershey wasn't getting a rocket coaster. I have no idea what they're getting. However I did say that, given the troubles the first two have had, Hershey would be wise to take a "wait and see" approach.

But if they got one I'd be thrilled.

Shy One, I was just kidding about the other parks. I know SF does their best to maintain their rides. Sorry if I offended anyone.

But I agree with Swoosh, I think this means that we can count on what JWolg calls a Duelling-Racing wooden.

I have to side with Moosh on that....anyone buying an Intamin rocket right now - or even last year...;) is asking for *reliability issues*...and will likely get them....

Bring back the woodie and make it a racer.
Would like to see an artist rendering of the "launched coaster ride" and the "suspended coaster with inversions".

I'll second that. Those artise renderings always make me laugh.

I also voted for the Launch. It would be something unique that the Herchends are known for, and also sounds alott safer than voting for a "Suspended Looping Coaster".

I know no one wants SDC to build the competition waterslide, but I found the patent for the slide. It shows accurate drawings of what the ride would look like if SDC decides to build it. If anyone is interested here is the site http://164.195.100.11/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&d=PALL&p=1&u=/netahtml/srchnum.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=6527646.WKU.&OS=PN/6527646
What scares me is the fact that the slide is exactly like something SDC would add.
