Brad - who is nonetheless thrilled to see another coaster toy, esp one that can change train types.

Thanks to Wal*Mart being all over the place here (theres two stores within 10 minutes of my house) I now have my brother hooked. I'm sure we'll be fighting over it in about an hour or so. My regular Wal*Mart didn't have it, but the supercenter did.
It's a great thing that neither me nor my brother are engineers. Our creations keep falling apart!

I'll admit it, I got one. It's pretty fun to play with.

Did anyone ever establish whether this new toy is "real" or not? My Wal-Marts here in Mass. dont seem to have it.
It does have a distinct advantage over the K'Nex coaster in that it is a MUCH smaller scale. Also, the track and structure (such as it is) is all pre-fab so construction is simpler. The resulting constructions, however, bear no resemblance to the coasters they are supposed to represent...begin with the fact that the real coasters are not launched, and that the real coasters would have a lot more track.
Personally, I think they should have provided enough stuff to build Poltergeist... 8-)

So this begs the question... does anyone have pictures of the damn thing?

Thanks RideMan!
All of the 3 Wal-Marts I went to did indeed have planagrams up in the toy department. Little hanging pieces of paper. Perhaps it will arrive here soon!!
Hey everyone!
For the record, the Wal Mart in Bowling Green Ohio does have the toy! :) Here are some pics I took real quick today, just so you folks would have something to go off of. Not the best, but I was in a hurry!

There's the box, so you know what to look for.

Here's the launching device for the ride. Also serves as a station when you put some more stickers on.

Here a blurry picture of the Inverted car with people in it. Sorry about the quality, hopefully Dave will get some better shots.

This is the launching device with stickers/stairs on it. It looks much more like a station now, no?

This is one of the supports for Cool Coasters along with the concession stand/footer combo.

This is a view of my current coasters. Not the most complex thing, but I'm still gettin' the hang of it.
Also, for you folks who already have it... are you having problems keeping the exit track hooked to the station on upright mode? It might have just been the piece of track, but it would always come un-hooked after a few launches. In my opinion, the metal connectors coming out of the station need to be a bit longer.
I was thinking... If you bought another set, you would HAVE to use the other launcher too, cause the track tubing of the new one would only come with 2 connectors, and then two of the tubes would have plugs on 1 end.... just a thought.

Check back on page one someone posted pics on another forum site. The post is toward the bottom of the page. I rried to take some pics of it with my cheap digital camera but they didn't turn out very well. Maybe if I try in high resolution.
With the set I did find that it launches about twice as fast if you don't make a two car train. Take off the people and they "REALLY" launch!
I do have that problem with the track coming unhooked from the launcher. The bigger problem I have is that the people fly out of the trains on the launch.
I plan on getting another set this weekend to expand. I just wish you could buy more supports instead of buying a complete set. For $19.88 you can't beat it for a coaster toy.

I wonder...if you use two launchers, can you get more speed? The speed is limited by the speed of the launch wheels, of course, but if you hooked the launchers directly to each other, that would probably reduce the losses in the second launcher...
I noticed that the directions described inserting the track connectors and plugs into the spine tubes, yet with my set those pieces came fully assembled. Interesting.

You "would" be able to expand the trains to 4 cars "but" the set I bought only came with one coupler. If you could get an extra coupler you would be able to connect 4 cars together. With two sets you can only connect 3 cars instead of 4. I'm sure it would be pretty easy to make an extra coulper though.
The only problem with longer trains is that the more cars the slower the launch which means you either need more launchers or smaller hills and inversions.
EDIT- Your a little faster at typing than me Dave! :)

My set also came with the black tube connectors and end caps in place.
I think the boosters will only boost a cretain speed weather you have 1, 2 or 10 in series. On the back of the box it shows two boosters ones ground level then the others is directly above the other one on top of a support that launches it higher. I guess it 's similar to Volcano the initial LIMS the the second set before the hill.

Whoa I'm the 88984594th Vistor to Coasterbuzz. I wonder what I have won.
Does it have a brake system or does it just roll into the station? I'm thinkning about getin' one of these. At least I won't look that freaky buying one - I'm still 14. :)

Call me SpongeBobAlex.
It just coasts on in to the station, or in the case of my custom design, it slams into the station. hehe I'm going back this afternoon and buying the other 2 sets that were lurking on the top shelves out of view. I like the little toy. I agree a Poltergiest would be pretty darn cool looking.
I built my custom job by laying the track first and twisting it when I wanted an inversion, completed the circut, then added the black spline.
