First off I tried to do a search about this toy but I couldn't find anything about it. So anyway, I was at Walmart tonight and I saw this toy titled "Six Flags Cool Coasters" It looks pretty cool. It does not have a lift hill but rather a launch mechanism. The little set costs basically $20 and you can keep buying more to increase your building capabilities.
I was wondering if any of you buzzers out there have seen this or bought it.? Also I would like to know how this compares in performance to the Screamin Serpent toy. Which do you like better and which one is a better buy in your opinion? Thanks

I searched for a website or anything on it and I haven't found anything yet. But I know it was invented by Toy Works, Inc. It looks like it was copyrighted by Six Flags, Inc. and 2002 Best Pals, Inc.
The box is actually quite small and is labeled "SixFlags Cool Coasters" with the SixFlags symbol on the box. The box is multi-colored with mainly black, green and yellow all over it and a red and black coaster track going all over it.
Hope that helps.

Sounds kinda like Legos. I used to love Legos so I might just have to get me a set (or 2, or 5, or...) of these things.
I've never heard of the Screamin' Serpent. Could someone please post a link to a previous thread(s) or explain it a little? Thanks!

Here is a link to the K'Nex official site. You can pick them up on Ebay if your local stores don't carry it.

I tried a few searches online but didn't come up with anything. I guess I'll need to go to Wal Mart tomorrow (I was there today already) to poke around.
Is it like the Screaming Serpent coaster or more like a Hot Wheels race set with the Loops, Jumps, and Boosters? I'll keep an eye out either way.

I would say that it is a cross between both of them. It has actual coaster track and a coaster train but it has the booster like Hot Wheels.

I work at Wal-Mart and I can tell you for shure that as of today, there is no toy like the one described at Wal-Mart, and when somthing new comes out, it reaches ALL of the stores within 24 hours of eachother (maybe my store is a little late???). I just hope the it does appear soon so I can build a nice coaster in my room.

I know it is there. Does Wal-Mart ever have test markets for new products? Maybe Utah is a test market for this new toy. Just an idea.

If they were going to test a product they wouldn't test it in Utah, it's not a very densly populated state.-----------------

Model coasters and rides
OK I was at the Wal-Mart Supercenter this morning and shop around and found it. Also I bought it. The set features the coasters Viper (SFMM) and Ninja (SFOG). The track resembles a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop (the set is not a shuttle unless you build it like one). The riders can be set right side up in the train as a sit down or upside down as an inverted. The 2 Trains Have 2 axles on each car and can run apart or together extra cars can be added with more sets. A cool lil thing I found out about the trains is that there's a pedal on the back of the car and when you push it down it releases the riders (That was a cool idea for the toy company), It makes it feel real that way. I hadn't yet put it together but I am impressed with the value of the set. It only cost me $20 to get it. This compares to $80 bucks for a KNEX Screaming Serpent set.
Each set contains
1 Power Blaster (This looks like a coaster station)
6 Concession Stands (these serve as footers)
7 Coaster Support Structures
9 1/2 feet Of Coaster Rail
10 Feet Of rail tubing
6 High Flying Flags (Duh its a Six Flags Product why would there be 5 or 7)
1 Theme Banner (Says Ninja or Viper)
2 Coaster cars with 1 connector (they're sockets on both ends of the cars so they can hook ether way)
4 Riders (2 sets of 2 riders)
Also if you wanna know The SKU# for the set is 34108 00537
